On 9/15/Air Tech Mechanical, Inc., was commissioned by the seller to repair the copper refrigerant lines that were damaged and taken by thievesWe were told by the seller to repair the lines and recharge the system with refrigerantAir Tech was not told to check out the system for additional
repairsOn 9/16/Air Tech gathered information and compiled a material list to make the necessary repairsOn 9/17/Air Tech returned and replaced the damaged refrigerant lines, installed a liquid line filter drier, pressurized the system with nitrogen and leak tested the refrigerant linesNo leaks were discovered on the repaired solder jointsThe Technician proceeded and evacuated the system to inches of vacuum and micronsThe evacuation was completed and the Tech weighted in the factory recommended charge and monitored the systemOn 9/22/Air Tech was notified, by the owner, that the system was not cooling properlyAir Tech returned and the Technician was told that they thought the system had low air flowThe Tech removed the air plenum and discovered that the evaporator was very dirty and needed to be cleanedThe owner gave him approval to clean the evaporator coil and return plenumThe Tech cleaned the evaporator coil, cleaned dirt and debris from the return plenum and started the system.(See Attached Pictures) The Tech monitored the system and the system was operating at this timeOn 9/29/Air Tech was called, by the owner, and said that the unit did not cool properly on 9/28/We returned on 9/29/and was told by the owner that the thermostat was indicating that the system was in Vacation Mode on Sunday the 28TH even though they had the thermostat in the Hold ModeThe owner did not have an Owners Manual for the thermostat and our Tech could not troubleshoot the thermostat properly without the Owners ManualOur Tech told the owner the he recommended that the thermostat be replacedThe owner did not elect to replace the thermostat at this timeThe Tech also checked the system refrigerant pressures, expansion valve, capacitor, compressor contactor, condenser fan motor, compressor wiring connections, and evaporator blower fan speedThe system had a 20* F Delta T and was cooling and operating at this timeIt is the opinion of Air Tech that the thermostat has an intermittent problem and should be replacedWith this being said...I think that the service call in question is a legitimate charge and does not necessitate a refund for the service call on 9/29/Sincerely, *** *** Owner/Air Tech Mechanical, Inc

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
I'm not disputing what has been told to me. I'm disputing being charged an addition service fee as the same problem that was advise on our initial contact with the company, not the previous owner, still exists. When we (the current owner) called back, we advised that the air was not ALWAYS blowing cold. I am not an AC technician so my initial thought was that it could be due to the recent work which is why this company was contacted. They said it wasn't, which was fine. Since they were already there, the request was made for them to go ahead and fix it. Again, I understand that it may not be an easy problem to diagnose BUT if the same problem exist, then it wasn't properly repaired when made aware that the air wasn't blowing cold. Also, I have not been contacted yet (3 days later) by anybody at the company. More poor business practices. I'm not asking for something free but if I pay $90 for absolutely nothing to be resolved, then that is not right.

In response to complaint ID:[redacted] filed by [redacted]: On 10/14/14 I personally went to [redacted] home and discussed this matter. On 10/15/15 I mailed [redacted] a check, from [redacted] account, for $90.00. Hopefully this will bring closure to this dispute.
