Review: I paid for a ballon ride for my mother and I for Mother's Day on May 8. Immediately prior to purchase I had a discussion about the refund policy with [redacted] by phone. I told him about my impending surgery the first week of June, and that my mother and I would move out of state by the end of June and that if there was a weather problem on the scheduled day, I would have to be able to reschedule the flight before then - that I did not have an unlimited amount of time to wait to make the flight. The first flight was cancelled by Air Ventures for weather conditions. When I tried to reschedule, they stated that dates on the following weekend were taken already, and a second scheduled flight for the following week was again canceled by Air Ventures due to weather conditions, although the weather did appear to be perfect that day. Since I was almost out of time and could not afford to take any additional time off work, and I was beginning to suspect that the company was not entirely honest or at least not making any good faith effort to fulfill the service, I requested a refund. [redacted] was very rude and angry and refused to issue the refund and that it was his 'day off and that he shouldn't even have to deal with this'. I am now relocated to Washington State and I made a written request for refund several days ago, but it was again refused by [redacted]. He stated that they in fact did provide me a service by 'keeping me safe' by canceling the flight.Desired Settlement: Although Air Ventures has a no-refund policy, Air Ventures knows that I cannot receive the service that I purchased from them since I am no longer living in the area. They were advised in advance that I had limited time to receive the service and I made several reasonable attempts to reschedule the flight. I have paid $398 for a service that I never received, and now never can. They suffered no damage or loss whatsoever in my reservation that was ultimately unfulfilled. I feel that for them to keep the money that I gave them and to refuse a refund in this situation is tantamount to fraud and theft. I want a full refund of the money that I paid to them.

Basically we really worked hard to be able to get her flown, she

just couldn't fit us into her schedule and she knew the terms of sale. We

will not sell a flight to anyone that has only one day to fly.

An unfortunate situation and wish she didn't handle it the way she

did. No one likes to be threatened or called bad names.
