Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: On August 3, 2014, [redacted] from Air Zone Heating & Air installed a brand-new heating and air conditioning system for me. Since it was the end of the summer, we couldn't fully check how the cold air would function. The heating function worked fine. The following spring, the system began to show problems because the cold air failed to work consistently. On May 5, 2015, after several visits, Mr. [redacted] finally changed the thermostat and on May 12, 2015, he installed a kickstart in the system. I paid cash for both parts. For the next two or three months, it worked fine but at the end of the season problems started occurring again and he promised that he'd return the following spring to make repairs. On a hot day in April 2016, we turned on the air conditioner but the air that was blowing was not cold at all. Mr. [redacted] claimed that the warranty on his labor had expired and I'd have to pay him to fix the problem. Instead of addressing the real problem, which was the system's failure to produce cold air (compressor), he installed the kickstart so that his own labor warranty could expire before the system showed problems again. As explained by a professional in the field, a kickstart is meant for older units, not brand-new ones, that need higher starting torque. Furthermore, a system that is straight from the manufacturer does not come equipped with a kickstart at all. Now another company is taking over in dealing with the problem by replacing the compressor which is free under a manufacturer warranty, yet I will be charged $1,000 for the job.Desired Settlement: I believe that Mr. [redacted]'s service warranty has not expired since he modified the original product before the one-year labor warranty period had ended. I would like Air Zone Heating & Air to reimburse the $1,000 I paid to have the problem fixed.
