Please find the attached proposal our Home Comfort Designer created based on your many conversations and his site visit We were under the impression, based on your last phone conversation; you were not happy with the price and did not want to proceed with a formal proposal to compare To help facilitate the comparison between the two proposals we have also included our competitors for your referenceOur proposal is itemized to show all components and manufactures recommendations to ensure proper installation of the new equipmentWe also list all of our guarantees and warranties in writing, all of which unfortunately has a cost associated with itWe would love to tell you that equipment is equipment, and that we (HVAC Contractors) could ALL install systems the correct way, but this is not the case We fix other lower priced bids all the time This is because they do not stand behind their agreements “in writing” the way that we doWe also try to list everything that we are committing to in detail As previously mentioned, because of items not listed on the competitor’s proposal, we could not reasonably compare the two as the same (Apples to Apples)We have built our reputation on providing quality products and services at a fair price and not by cutting corners to save moneyWe are not saying that our proposal is perfect, but what we can confirm with you is that this is not an APPLES to APPLES comparison in any way, shape, or form We apologize our ad mislead you in any way, but at this time we are running out of ways to explain why “you get what you pay for” in this industry Cheaper means cheaper and more value is more value We’re sorry we could not make you any happier

I am rejecting this response because:Sounds like every nut and screw has to be listed on a competitor proposal and they maybe you might actually consider honoring your flyer...Does your own proposal contain every single item you will use when installing a new system? and somehow you want a competitors proposal to?Sounds like your just trying to song and dance your way out of actually honoring your flyer to me...You are aware that none of your contingencies that you are now stating are actually on your flyerAgain your flyer was one sentence..Did the thought of actually writing up a proposal to match competition and possibly including other recommendations at the same time explaining why you might recommend a different setup cross your mind? All I got was a conversation stating the price will be several thousand dollars more using the same equipment and somehow I'm still supposed to use your company for my new install ?
