Complaint[redacted] the owner of Airhart is fraudulently practicing work for insurance company Home Warranty America.On June 15th I had an appointment with [redacted], the owner of Airhart air conditioning for a problem with an air conditionar that would shut off every couple hours because as he stated," the compressor is frozen". He stated he would return late that day to fix the problem. At 4:50, [redacted] called had said he would not be able to make it back and would send someone tomorrow. June 16th at 11:00 another technician showed up, [redacted], and checked the pressure, saw no ice and said there was no problem with the air conditioner. I was flabbergasted and responded that the unit had not been working for at least a week and that [redacted] saw that the compressor was frozen. [redacted] stayed that he couldn't do a diagnostic until it defrosted. the next day at 11:00 another employer, [redacted], came out to diagnose the problem. he stated there was no ice on the conditioner, checked air pressure and flow and stated that there was no problem with the air conditioner!! I told [redacted], like I told [redacted], the owner, the conditioner compressor freezes every 1-2 hours and shuts off. That there is a problem with the unit and it needs to be fixed! [redacted] said I don't see a problem there is no problem and the air conditioner was good. I repeated, like in my original complaint to them, that the unit works for 1-2 hours and then shuts off repeatedly. That there is a problem and it needs to be fixed. I told [redacted] just checking air flow and pressure wasn't enough to diagnose the broken unit. That [redacted], stated the compressor was frozen. Therefore wouldn't there be a problem with the compressor? [redacted] stated it's not frozen now and everything was good. I repeated it is not normal for an air conditioner to shut off and not work!!! I repeated the compressor freezes up! That the compressor at least needed to be fixed! He said that there was nothing he could do to fix the unit. I called the office where [redacted] picked up the phone. She didn't want to hear about the problem!! She told me the senior technician, [redacted] would give me a call. I told her that [redacted] needs to get back out here and fix the unit! This company just takes the service call fee from the customer, spends 5-10 minutes looking at the unit and performs nothing to fix the problem. The service was terrible and a scam on the customer!Desired SettlementI believe that Airhart is contracted with an insurance company "Home Warranty of America" just to get service calls and collect the service fee scamming the customer!Business Response We are very sorry that [redacted] had a bad experience with our company. Her warranty company sent us a work order to look at her Air conditioning. She was scheduled 6/15/15 the technician found a plugged filter and the unit iced up. The filter was removed and she was advised we could not do anything until the unit defrosted. This can take up to 24 hours to defrost. We returned the next day and turned on the unit, it fired up and began cooling. At that time no failure was found. The plugged filter could have reduced the air flow causing the unit to ice up. She was advised that there was nothing at that time we could do, but if the unit began to have issues again to please call back to have us or another company return. She was not happy with that response. We never charged her and we also let her warranty company know we would not charge them and advised them to have another company look at it if the unit failed again. There was no deceit on our part. We did what the standard protocal would be for the circumstance. We do our best to resolve issues in a timely manner and feel that not charging both the customer and the home warranty was the best way to resolve the matter.
