Airtex A/C and Heat

On [redacted], I contacted [redacted] at ###-###-#### after I saw an advertisement on the newspaper that this is a company that does AC repairs. The company is called AirTex A/C and Heat. After speaking to [redacted], I informed him of the issue, I was having and we agreed to a price for him to repair this problem. He asked for $200.00 upfront. I paid $100 in cash and wrote the rest in the form of a check. He took the compressor and said he will show up on friday to repair it. He never showed up. I contacted him again and he did not pick up his phone. He has not called since [redacted] to update me on anything. On [redacted], my daughter contacted him and he picked up his phone. He claimed that he had been sick and that he will finish the repair on Monday [redacted] . I wait all day monday and he never showed up. I called again on tuesday and he did not pick up his phone. My daughter called and he picked up stating that the part hadn't come yet but it will come tuesday morning and he will come to the house to repair this on tuesday afternoon. Again he did not show up. My daughter called him again on tuesday evening and he said that couldn't make it out tuesday but he would do it Wednesday at 5:30pm. He never showed up or called. On Wednesday, my daughter called again and proceed to say "I am so f[redacted] sick of you calling. do what you need to do, I will not repair or return the parts or the money". At this point, I contacted the police and they asked that I file a claim with the Revdex.com. I am not asking for him to repair the AC at this point but I just want my money back and the compressor that he took. It is too expensive to buy one again. He never responded and advertised a fraudulent service and under false pretenses he tricked me into paying him and taking the AC compressor.
