aftrer unloading scrap paid 4.00 for 400 hundred lbsand could not return 4.00 and get back my scrap because someone helped me unloadat airways iron&metals there are no prices posted so after unloading with a helper from airways iron and going to get paid I was given 4.00 for what I was told was 4oo.lbs you cannot see your weigh I could not return the 4.00 and reload my scrap because I was told labor had to be paid because the helper that helped me if I had known they were paying .01 per lb I would not have unloaded it I think they use any price they want to depending on who brings stuff in mybe some form of reverse price gougingDesired Settlementon 12/23/15 aftre leaving airways iron & metal I went to midtown salvage and they were paying 2.75 per 100 lbs so I would like the other 7.00 that I would have gotten if I could have taken my scrap elsewhereBusiness Response Based on a conversation the Revdex.com had with the company, they state that the market value changes often on unprepared metal per pound. The company states that the consumer brought it 400 lbs of unprepared metal and that the market value that day was $0.01 per lb. The company states that the consumer's quote from the other metal company in [redacted] was for prepared metal and not unprepared metal. The company states that when the consumer return with the other company's estimate and his dissatisfaction with money received, they advised the consumer that he may receive his products back and return the payment but the consumer declined.
