I had a very bad experience w/tenants and their parrot(s) who destroyed my home in Monte Vista, including chewing ALL of the original doors in the house. I was extremely lucky to have mentioned the issue with Sherwin Williams employee at their San Pedro store, and it was my lucky day when he recommended Eloy.
Eloy came to my house, looked at the doors, and took one back to his shop to see if he could take it apart, to remove the original rails & stiles. He was successful with the first door and did an incredible job on all of the doors and rehung them. He charged $300 / door & although not inexpensive, it was worth it given the condition they were in, and the fact they were original with the house.
I am a Registered Interior Designer, and have extensive experience with all types of commercial projects, and have worked with the best millworkers in Chicago & Houston, so I know what I'm talking about. He is right up there with the founders (most of them, German & Italian trained) of the best large millwork companies in those cities, and San Antonio is very lucky to have a resource like Eloy with such talent.
I plan on more renovation to upgrade the kitchen, and possibly open up a wall, and Eloy will be the first person I contact. If you can, hire him!
