In response to your request to answer the complaint from the person who filed it with you I installed a septic system for the original owner in and installed a separate drain for the backwash from an iron removal filter on site The backwash drain appears to be
inadequate for the amount of drain water emptying into the unit I am not sure of the dates of my visitation but as I remember every time the area around the drain was saturated and I was unable to efficiently remedy the problem and I don't think it was July or August which would be dry months Regardless the unit is not functioning properly. The last time in February of I answered the complaint of a failed Septic System on site and I opened the cover to the Septic Tank and showed the owner that the level of liquid in the tank was and there had to be a blocked drain in the plumbing to the tank and I believe that was the case as I heard no more about it At the same time we discussed the drain again and I told the person again I could not repair as that area was under water from the drain overflowing and it was not a good time to repair it efficiently I told the person that I would fix it when dry perhaps in May or June. I received a call on Friday March 24, about the drain again and knowing weather conditions as an important part of my business told the person that it was certainly still to wet to move my equipment in and repair efficiently, this was left on that person's answering machine Approximately to minlater that person called me using foul language right off telling me that that person had enough of my procrastination to put it mildly I responded by saying that I had no interest any longer of working on that property for a person who had so much anger against me. There are many smaller contractors who can do the same work No special licenses or permits for backwash drains are required so the field is open Our work is excavation residential and commercial on large projects and work is always behind schedule no matter how hard you try I have helped hundreds if not thousands of individuals through tough projects obtaining difficult permitting process and getting the jobs done and I am happy to help any individual thru their building or septic problems and efficiently and economically as possible I have been in business full time since and worked with my Dad the founder of the company since and have never had a compaint like this one. I don't feel after my conversation with this person that I wish to deal with this problem I have a thick skin but when a person calls you out the way this person did I choose not to deal with it Don't forget this was March 24 and the moisture in the ground was wetter than it was on Feb24 so why was the questioneven asked? As far as paying for the work of $I don't feel that it is justified and if repaired under these adverse conditions even now and damage done to lawn just getting equipment in and out as well as material the cost would be much higher.
