[redacted] Please See Attached Documents [redacted] Revdex.comPO Box 1000DuPont, WA 98327Re: ID [redacted] I received a phone call sometime around mid-December asking if we have light bulbs for microwaves.I replied that we have some bulbs in stock for microwaves and asked for the make and model numberof the unitThe caller replied that he did not have that information but had a sample and would bringit in.When Mr [redacted] came in he brought the whole microwaveIt is a household microwave and I told himthat most household models don't have replaceable bulbs but he insisted that his doesAfter severalrefusals by him to leave the microwave so it could go into the shop, and much pleading anddemanding by him that I open the unit up there and then, I conceded and opened it at the front counter.Upon inspection, I informed Mr [redacted] that it is a non-replaceable bulb and it would require a lightassembly with socket which I could orderHe did not believe me and began insisting that I removethe lamp assembly, which I then didI checked for compatibility with any parts in our stock and foundno match so I again informed Mr [redacted] that I could order the partHe told me to reinstall the lampassembly and reassemble his microwave, which I didand l told him I would call him on the nextbusiness day with price and availabilityAt no time during this process was the microwave everplugged in or tested so whether it was working or not at that time is unknown to me.The following business day I called Mr [redacted] and left a voice mail message with a quote of $-$20and a 7- day lead timeI received no response to that phone call.Around the second week of January I received a phone call from Mr [redacted] saying the microwaveworks but it vibratesI asked him to bring it in and leave it in the shop and we would check it out OnJanuary he brought it in and first said it didn't work and accused me of breaking it, then said it didwork but vibrated, then said he wasn't sure if it worked or not.The next day when I pulled the cover off the microwave I found that the lamp assembly had beenreplaced but it was not hooked up electrically_ I hooked it up and installed a missing screw from thelight reflectorUpon testing the unit the light was working but product was not heatingI found themagnetron was burned outI wrote up an estimate of $($part discounted to $72.49, and$labor discounted to $32.50, and $sales tax) and called the customer with the information. The discounts were extended to Mr [redacted] as a good faith gesture When Mr [redacted] came in on January 14, he said he wanted to discuss the quote and demanded Ibringthe microwave to the front counter, which I didI showed him the magnetron which had physicalsigns of burning from the antennaHe claimed at that time that it was my fault because I had left ascrew out when he came in the first timel told him that I couldn't say if I had left the screw out or ifwhoever replaced the lamp assembly left the screw out but it was immaterial to the situation as thatwould have no effect on the operation of the unitI explained to him that the screw was redundant(there are three others securing the reflector) and that the magnetron is a high voltage, hard workingcomponent and can fail at any timeMr [redacted] declined to have the repair done and took hismicrowave.Ajax Electric does not charge for estimatesAs - 80% of a repair can easily be diagnostic time it isto our benefitto provide our customers with the best quote possible even if it entails short selling ouractual timeAs is evidenced here, between the counter time spent with him, the parts research anddiagnostic time, we have well over an hour into Mr***'s microwave and there has been no chargefor any of itUnfortunately, due to the relatively inexpensive replacement cost of householdmicrowaves (which often use the very same components as $3,commercial microwaves) it is hardto quote an economical repair, but we do our bestHence the good faith discounts offered on this job.Between Mr***'s first visit to Ajax Electric and the call three or more weeks later saying hisappliance was not working, someone else had done work on itIt makes little sense that he would heaccusing me of breaking it and I take offense that he would accuse me of sabotageMr [redacted] ran thegamut of psychological ploys to cajole, threaten, guilt and intimidate me into repairing his microwaveat no charge, up to and including attacking my company's and my personal credentials and expertise.I have never, in the years I have been at Ajax Electric, laughed at a customer however during thisexperience it is likely I smiled and maybe even chuckled in exasperation. In summation, I neither broke nor sabotaged the microwave and a more than fair estimate for repairwas provided SincerelyJohn D***Owner/ManagerAjax Electric Inc Revdex.comPO Box 1000DuPont, W A 98327Re: ID [redacted] As Technical Director and Vice President of Ajax Electric I would also like to respond to Mr***'s"statement of problem", specifically his defamatory statements about John. His assertion that John is not a technician is ridiculousI know personally that John has repairedthousands of appliances, both commercial and domestic, during the years I have been at AjaxElectricAs a manager and then general manager of Ajax Electric John advised technicians on therepair and servicing of appliancesAs an owner he continues to do so.In the implication of unethical practices, Mr [redacted] says "after a few days" the magnatron failedIt's ahigh voltage componentIt either works or it doesn'tTo my knowledge it cannot be sabotaged to failat a later date.Mr [redacted] alleges that John was laughing at himI've seen John deal with all kinds of customers in allkinds of situations and I have never seen him laugh at or belittle a customerIn fact, John is verysympathetic to his customers needs because he understands that they wouldn't be at the store if theyweren't having a problem. From what I witnessed on his first visit to Ajax Mr [redacted] is by far anything but a soft targetHe wasvery demanding and overbearingHe would not leave his appliance to be serviced (as is the norm) anddemanded it be serviced while he waited.Mr***'s claim that John was after his money is also incorrectMagnetrons are typically around$Labor for the repair would typically be $- $At $104.99, John's quote to do the repairwas essentially at cost, if not at a loss considering the amount of time already into it.John goes out of his way to offer great customer service and care to our customers every dayHisrepairs are done properly and professionally and he is greatly appreciated by customers of AjaxElectric for the work he does.Terry S*Owner/ Technical Director

I'm the one who straightened the microwave case after it failed to heat food and I inserted the working bulb light - this's when I saw John forgot couple of screws around the Magnetron. This mn has just annoyed me again in that he fabricates against the facts and backs it up with his colleagues. John has used his experience with a dirt trick in that he left out few screws so the Magnetron would burn due to the resulting vibrations - this's what killed my microwave.
