I am going to send my insurance company the receipt that AJ's towing attached to their first response to see if they will accept this as an itemized receipt and accept the current explanation of the charges. If they do, the matter will be resolved. However, it seems unlikely. In the mean time, I will gather all the relevant documentation (as I do not have everything on hand I am currently out of state) and upon hearing from my insurance company will be able to proceed with his matter, either by closing the case or by providing appropriate documentation to resolve this matter once and for all. If you could please contact me with another respond to complaint request in 2 weeks time, I should have heard back from the insurance and have had time to retrieve all the relevant documentation by this time. The trailer was over 18,000 lbs because it is not a camper-it's a little house. So, if there is a still a discrepancy; we can bill for the total amount that we never charged.  The NYS Thruway is aware of this incident, and does back our original response that it is considered a heavy and the truck is considered medium duty.
