Aki's Body Shop

This is about the inefficiency and behavior of the owner of this company . A few months ago I was in a minor accident and was looking for a body shop close to my apartment to have a few repairs done . When I initially called with the claim they said that they were very busy and I should schedule out a few weeks to a month or so so I decided I would wait and call back. When I called back they did not even remember entering my claim because they had switch systems and did not transfer over the information properly. Next when I finally got in for estimated service the process took quite a bit of time and when the car was finally in for repairs it took longer than the initial estimate even had predicted for minor body damage. they also failed to include my information on the claim sent to the rental car company and I had to pay out of pocket for my rental car then contact the other insurance company myself to get reimbursed. During this time they were wondering what was taking so long with the repairs and offered legally to send me the check for the estimated amount. Two months later after my car had finished its repairs and was in my possession I get a frantic and hostile call in the morning from the owner cleaning to need the money right now and if I didn’t pay it was insurance fraud and he was going to report me. When I told him he couldn’t speak to me this way he proceeded to send me threatening emails detailing that I had 24 hours to pay the total. I work evenings and sleep during the day so I can only access my bank accounts on the days I have off, it is unreasonable to demand I access money within a 24 hour period like that and it is also completely out of bounds to wait so long to do your billing then put the burden of the time crunch on the client. His behavior was absolutely terrible, threatening and hostile the entire time even when I called back in to finally pay the amount when I had access to the money.
