I would not recommend this company. They came out to measure for a patio and walkway and after accepting their quote we found out that the area we were getting was far smaller than the area they measured. Needless to say, the new price was going to cost more than twice the quoted price. I wouldn't trust this company at all.
Unfortunately there was a mis-communication between the one homeowner that was present and our sales person during our first job site visit in regards to the size of their proposed project. When the dimensions on the quote were noticed to be incorrect, our sales person returned to the job site to re-measure with the other homeowner as well. For the final quote price, our square footage price did not change, only the total square footage of the project more than doubled. Therefore, the price reflected the change in size of the job.
There was never any ill-intent intended. It was an honest error in the calculation of area to be done and a misunderstanding as to the scope of the project the client ultimately desired.
We value all our clients and would never have mislead anyone intentionally.
There was NEVER any miscommunication between the homeowner and the business. I actually walked out the space of our project that he followed with his wheel measure. In fact he actually measured the area bigger than what was necessary as we wanted the patio to curve which in actuality cuts part of the space in half. His written quote showed dimensions that were smaller than the area he measured. We called them to come back and on his second visit he measured the area completely wrong for the second time. Both home owners were present and witnessed the sad event. The area he measured actually encompassed part of the deck. The measurement he had was 34 x 18, the actual patio should have been 27 x 18. Plus he added the 4 x 4 measurement for the BBQ area which was already included in the 34 x 18 measurement. Obviously the problem is that he doesn't have a clue how to use a tape measure. The worst part was that he told us that the price wasn't going to change much if any because it was his screw up in the first place. Then he called back with an amount more than double the first price which by the way was still wrong because he measured it wrong again. We were only looking at an additional 186 sq.ft and he was trying to charge us more than double. I don't appreciate that they tried to put the blame us ***.
