Review: 1. The fabrics looked quite great on the website and what I received after close analysis after receiving order they are not as advertised. False Advertisement. 2. The fabric quality with threads not woven, threads hanging all over fabrics. 3. Areas of fabric with no dye color on them/ plain patches. 4. Akan Fabric Sales policy of items not returnable after purchase. 5. No Disclaimer on the website stating that $12 Fabric Yardage is defective and does not meet minimum quality standards. 6. On September [redacted] , I sent an email to Akan Fabrics and to date, I have not received any response to my complaint. Now to address the above, this is my rationale! Any Fabric sale in store/ online is based on the Truth for sales Law that requires that a quality product is sold for a fee and must meet basic customer requirements. Customer satisfaction should be of utmost importance, given that the AKN fabric store has received numerous awards by the New York Chamber of Commerce. The No return policy of items leaves a lot to be desired given the quality of product that the Company sent to me and I have sent pictures to support this. Does AKN sell "MEDIOCRE" SUBSTANDARD FABRIC? what is the company rule on product quality? It would make sense to me that a $12 dollar fabric is a clearance item to get rid of Old product to bring in new stock and not selling poor , low quality , Mediocre fabrics to the public. With a policy of "GOODS ONCE SOLD CANNOT BE RETURNED" Now my rationale is if [redacted], [redacted], [redacted] to mention a few accept returns on items sold and by the way these are quality items, don't you think in business the rule applies to all Business entities (Providing Quality Products, besides even sale items at these aforementioned stores are a "STEAL AND TOP QUALITY". What ever Akan sales policy Akan is obligated to provide a quality product at whatever price Akan chooses to sell it at. To note in cases where items are sold as is, "There is a Disclaimer stating that the item has slight defects/major production defects hence the throw-away price". (ANY STORE THAT PRIDES IN QUALITY PRODUCTS, DOES NOT SELL SUB-STANDARD MEDIOCRE PRODUCT)Desired Settlement: A total Refund for the items purchased. The company should also have a disclaimer on the quality of Fabrics sold, to give the online shopper and idea of what they are purchasing. The Company no return policy should not apply to online orders and should be changed. Improved customer service and a 48hr response to Customer Complaints versus ignoring Customer Complaints.

With kind reference to the above , our response is as follows:

1. Our Company is known as AKN FABRICS and not AKAN FABRICS , and have been in business for 20 good years satisfying a range of satisfied Customers from Africans to designers to mom and pop stores and ship our products to all over USA, Canada and Europe.

2. We sell Quality fabrics in bolts of 6yds , with prices ranging from a high of $8S/pc to

$12. Al l fabrics are inspected for quality at every stage before its shipped out and there is a possibility of error of 0.05% .However we emphasis that our standard for quality is high all the time , and for all ranges.

3. There was a telephonic order on Aug [redacted] from , [redacted] and [redacted] had

discussed with her and said that some designs she had selected had been sold out and she preferred the discounted fabrics of Best Selling African Prints for $12/ pc of 6 yds. This was an order on the phone and not a internet order online transaction .

4. The designs and the items she selected are most preferred by all our customers since it is available at a cheap price of $12/ pc. The quality may not be the best com pared to a wax print fabric for $85/pc from VUSCO , but still it meets our standards for sales and we have had ZERO COMPLAINTS SO FAR.

5. If [redacted] ( the person who complained ) , was not happy with the purchase , she can as well call in and address the problem , just the way she had called to place an order , and we would be too eager to see a satisfied customer , as we had done for 20+ years in this business.

6. The complaint ad ds that she has emailed us Sep [redacted] to akan fabrics , but till date , after reviewing all incoming emails on that date including spams , there has been no trace of an email received on Sep [redacted] by [redacted] ,and if she has addressed the email to akan fabrics , it's the wrong email address .

7. We normally state as a Company Policy that we DON'T ACCEPT RETURNS or REFUNDS, since in the past we have had customers ,who would use these fabrics , and send it back as returns .So as a Company Policy we prefer NOT TO ENTERTAIN RETURNS and ALL

SALES are FINAL . But we still offer returns , exchanges and refunds to customers to cover most purchases as long as the customer calls in or emails us with a specific reason and return the fabric purchased.

8. In this case also ,as we were not aware of [redacted],s problem ,since we had not received any calls or emails ,and only this letter from Revdex.com , we would be prepared for a FULL REFUND for the items purchased. She has bought 7 pcs @ $12/pc = $ 84 /= and

Shipping / handling chgs = $ 10/=

Totals = $ 94/=

We will refund the full amount of $ 84/= back to her AMEX card ( as shipping charges are non refundable), provided we receive the 7 pcs back ,which she has purchased.

We also request her and all our customers next time to call or email ,any problems they might have with our fabrics and we will be too happy to address the problem and either discuss for an even exchange or a full refund to keep a happy customer .
