We are very disappointed that our prospective tenant failed to give the complete situation.
On December 16th, 2015, [redacted] viewed our apartment and gave her $200 deposit and her Section 8 voucher to move forward with the needed...
inspections. Section 8 allows up to three move in inspections before allowing a tenant to look for another possible residency. After the second inspection passed on January 25th, 2016, we contacted [redacted] that the apartment was ready. At the time my maintenance employee and I opened the apartment and gave [redacted] the keys, as she paid another $200 towards completing her owed security deposit (totaling $400). Section 8 then formulated a contract for our signatures accordingly. When the contract was ready (February 4th, 2016), [redacted] decided that she no longer wanted to rent the unit. As standard practice, we kept the security deposit for the lost months of rental income from December 16th, 2015 thru February 4th, 2016. If needed, we are willing to send a copy of the printed Section * contract with the above dates.

The statement is not truthful........the ohio state law specific states that a security deposit is for all unpaid rent, damages, etc. To the property......Also, akron properties never had to sign paper stating that my security was non refundable....Akron quality did not follow HUD policy...and a copy will be submitted to akron housing authorities.....
