I bought 3, $45 prepaid 60 minute massages from Ms. [redacted] at Al-Afiya Massage & Hijama on 1/10. I got one massage on 2/11 and another on 3/14. I had the third one scheduled on 3/29. The day of the massage, Ms. [redacted] cancelled and stated I could reschedule. I rescheduled for 4/7. When I arrived, she was not there. I called and left a message and I sent a message through massagebook.com. I did not get any response. Since then, I have called and left messages on voicemail and through the massagebook.com website without any response. Since Ms. [redacted] cancelled and did not show up for the rescheduled massage, I have requested a refund for the third session, which is $45. Ms. [redacted] has yet to respond to any of my messages and my request for reimbursement.Product_Or_Service: massageDesired SettlementI would like my prepaid session of $45 to be refunded.Business Response When the original purchase was made in Maryland a the beginning of 2016, I had no idea that I would be closing my office suddenly and moving to another state before the expiration of the offer. In the process of closing my office, and moving both my office and home, I did fail to do any office work for weeks, as the process was long and tedious and I was unable to get back to work issues as soon as I expected. However, this person has been a client of mine for approximately two years, and has purchased many similar offers from me and has always received, and been satisfied with the services. So although I should have contacted her earlier, I am by no means a thief and she knows me to have had good business practices for the previous two years or she would not have continued to be a client. I have been in contact with her via email and informed her that because her purchase was made months ago my system will not allow me to refund her using the same system through which she purchased the offer. However, I am able to refund her through another means. We have agreed upon regular postal service mail and her $45 refund is forthcoming. I trust that she will inform you all once the refund is received.Consumer Response We have agreed for my refund to be sent by check through the mail. Although, I have yet to receive the refund. Final Business Response Although I previously agreed to send payment via postal service mail, I have sent payment to the complaintant through an online service, as her original payment was made online. This payment was made to complaintant today, June 22, 2016 at 4:30. She should have been notified by email. She can now go online at any time and claim the payment. Her account is now paid in full and closed.
