As is often the case with a company involved in the construction industry, they were late starting the job (about weeks) That is the main negative That being said, the jobincluding moving the furniture, ripping the old tile out, installation, and furniture replacement etconly took days The installer did an outstanding job and the place looks great I would recommend this company mainly because of the guy who performed the labor He was outstanding with about a decade of experience with the company - their main guy I hope someone returns to hook up the ice-maker water line (as they forgot) and have been told I am writing this experience on behalf of my year old Mother who owns the house involved One last positivethe installer offered to repair my Mom's storage shed, labor free Mighty nice of him

Business was paid in full for service and has not done the work paid for and refuses to contact me regarding the issue. When we had some floor damage from a faulty dishwasher repair, [redacted] asked for an estimate so they could pay for repair since they were at fault. Al Barnes gave an estimate of $410.39. [redacted] paid that sum directly to Al Barnes Carpet and the check cleared in November. For three months they have held full payment while refusing to return my five separate calls to complete the install. I have been to the store in person and have been guaranteed the manager would call to set up install. No response.

As is often the case with a company involved in the construction industry, they were late starting the job (about 3 weeks). That is the main negative. That being said, the job... including moving the furniture, ripping the old tile out, installation, and furniture replacement etc. only took 2 days. The installer did an outstanding job and the place looks great. I would recommend this company mainly because of the guy who performed the labor. He was outstanding with about a decade of experience with the company - their main guy. I hope someone returns to hook up the ice-maker water line (as they forgot) and have been told. I am writing this experience on behalf of my 88 year old Mother who owns the house involved. One last positive... the installer offered to repair my Mom's storage shed, labor free..... Mighty nice of him.

Very disappointed! We are building a new home & ordered some beautiful tile and was told 3 times what day it would be in. Set up our tileman to cone in that day and each of the three days they said sorry tomorrow or sorry in "only 2 more days" they have had our line up in our house delayed a week and its still waiting!!!! Ordered from them because of their promise of the arrival if the order instead of ordering from another company... Someone must have forgot to put the irder in or they keep lying when it will be here. Obviously its not even shipped yet since they cant track it. I strongly recommend going to another provider.

Al Barnes Carpet installed the flooring in my home. The flooring is now failing and Al Barnes will not respond to Warranty claims. Al Barnes Carpet installed the hardwood flooring in my new home. At the end of March 2016, I called the company to talk to them about concerns I had for the home. The home at the time was still under warranty and my flooring contains a 25 year warranty. A representative met me at my home to look at the floors and they agreed we had floor failure at that time. They agreed to get the manufacturer involved. Over the next couple of months nothing happened and no rep was called. I again invited Al Barnes Carpet to the house to look at the flooring which was now even worse than before. Again, they agreed the floors were horrible and to email them photos so they could talk to a rep. once an email was sent, the company promises a correction is still coming. As of August 10th, 2016. I still have not heard from a manufacturer rep and Al Barnes refuses to answer phone calls or emails. I also can not file a warranty request with the company as the end user and only the installer can do this. The installer is refusing in my opinion to follow through with Warranty claims. Desired SettlementOur wood floors in some areas are falling apart due to what we believe as a delamination issue. We have requested that these boards be removed and replaced under the warranty requirements. Business Response In response to case number [redacted], Al Barnes Carpets intends to stand behind and repair/ replace any defects in the customers flooring. A claim has been filed with the manufacturer, due to the fact that it is a manufacturer's defect and not an installation issue. The customer will be contacted by either the manufacturer or Al Barnes Carpets after the claim has bee reviewed. The claim number with the manufacturer is [redacted].Consumer Response I'm glad the company will stand behind the warranty. In the future, I hope communication can improve and we don't have to have other parties involved to get this issue corrected. With that being said, I am going to keep following up on this and would assume going forward that the company will keep me up to date with the claim. Please keep in mind if I do not see responses or if communication continues not to exist. I will report to the attorney general if necessary. Thank you for your response and look forward from hearing from you. Thank you.

Had a brand new house build and all new flooring installed by this company. We have had numerous warranty issues with the floor and quality concerns. After living in the home for a couple of months (August time frame) we started noticing de-lamination of the flooring and areas of the floor that need to be replaced. Al Barnes floor rep [redacted] came by and checked out the floor promising a date for the floor to be repaired. After a few weeks we got a date for the install and install was cancelled due to defective flooring that was shipped. Called [redacted] numerous times to reschedule and never got a call back or were promised a call back with a date. This went on for 2 more months before we started noticing more flooring issues.Got in contact with [redacted] again after numerous calls and he evaluated the floor with a [redacted] account rep who ordered a 3rd party inspection. The 3rd party inspector evaluated the floor and submitted a report to [redacted] and Al Barnes Flooring. After waiting 2 months for a call back from Al Barnes (after 10+ call) we escalated this to [redacted] flooring. They stated that the report has been send to Al Barnes numerous times and that I needed to contact them for the results.Called Al Barnes Flooring today to speak with the owner [redacted] (who is never there or returns any phone calls) and we were told he was busy and would return our call. We have been told this since August of 2014 and are getting fed up with their customer service and warranty concerns. For the past 7 months we have gotten the run around from this business and need to escalate this. I contacted the floor inspector and he told me (off the record)that there was high moisture coming through the floor and this is causing issues with the floor. This is clearly stating that the floor was not installed properly and that the business does not want to honor their installation or flooring which has a 30 year warranty. This business has had many oppertunities to call me or correct the issues.Desired SettlementAt this point we want Al Barnes to honor their installation and product and replace all of the hard wood flooring.Business Response Consumer Response I have been in communication with the floor company and the distributer refuses to replace the flooring and wants to attempt a repair. I wish to leave this case open as this is not satisfactory and the repair will ruin the floor.
