Revdex.com: I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]I have an email from [redacted] telling me that they didn't "see" anything wrong with the light so all they replaced was the housing so I know for a fact that they didn't repair the light after me specifically telling him it worked sometimes and sometimes it didn't and he assured me they would check it I sent him an email after I picked up the car and told him it wasn't working, he said he would have someone check it when I brought the car back I never took the car back because he told me he would talk to the owner and set up a rental car for me and NEVER called me back I did pick the color out of their book and I still have a picture of the swatch I picked AND IT DOES NOT the color they put on my car The fact that they changed companies for their paint colors doesn't have any bearing on the fact that they didn't paint my car dark blue because in order to fix that they need to REPAINT it completely anyway.I had an idea this would be their response after having read a (negative) review about this particular MAACO location (unfortunately after the fact) But at least this will be out there for others to see so they can think twice before using this business Regards, [redacted] ***

We have worked with this customer to resolve the issue she has mentioned with her bumper Her schedule did not allow us to get the vehicle back and repair the bumper I do not have the original ticket with me, I am responding from home, but I can assure you that we have never only
replaced a lenses on a headlight If we were contracted to replace a light assembly then that is what we did The fact that she doesn't like the color of her car isn't something I can fix at this point She picked the color out of a generic color book we had from our supplier back in February (we have changed suppliers back in April)The color matched the chip she picked After and a half months there isn't going anything I can do for this customer the warranty is clear on what it covers and none of these issues align with the guidelines

I have spoken to this customer about this vehicle many times Without hesitation I have agreed to replace the damaged piece on the rear wiper arm and the over spray on her rimsShe made the assumption that everything on her vehicle would be repaired whether it was on the estimate or not
She assumed that we would just fix any and all damage without her consent, that is not true we never perform any work without the customer signing off on it The rain guards are broken and her boyfriend was told that they would likely break when they were removed while she stood there and listened to the conversation Rain guards frequently break when removed because they are not designed to be removed and reinstalled The "chip" that she is referring to are not in a place where they should cause any damage down the road however she is covered under warranty to protect against that later on The additional damage she has mentioned is on her right fender and it is old body work that I suspect existed and was repaired before the customer owned the car On occasion when and older vehicle comes to the shop we will have this issue after the heat curing process for the paint This is not something that either myself nor the customer can be aware of until it shows up Since no one has control over it I will ask the customer to share the cost and let us fix it At that point I give the customer the price at cost and I pay for half and the customer the other half I am more than willing to help this customer with the rear wiper arm and over spray on the rims, as mentioned above; however, I am not willing to do any other repairs on the customers vehicle as she has been nothing but rude and confrontational to me and my employees The shop has no obligation to replace rain guard or fix old body work nor is there any guarantee anywhere that we will remove all the chip from you vehicle prior to paint The customer has been given literature multiple time both before and after the repair that states imperfections will existed

Mrs. [redacted] has been a wonderful customer to work with so we are a bit taken back as to her discontent.  We informed her that her parts were on back order and that we would call her when the parts where in stock.  Unfortunately it appears that the parts were not her in a time frame that...

fit her patience limit.  Since this incident we have received the parts and installed them for her.  We have gone out of our way to be as accommodating as possible to suit her schedule and we even painted her rocker panels for no charge because we made a mistake at the time of the estimate.  We at Maaco feel that we have done our very best to handle this situation as best as possible considering the bumpy road that the parts supplier forced us down.  Thank you for your time.
