Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
all of the remarks in the enclosed response are untruthful. We initially made an appointment with A&L Septic Service because***(who we ordinarily use) does not do septic maintenance any longer. Also, we did have a coupon, and we advised *** over the phone that we had a coupon. At that time, we were told that the total price would be plus tax. The digging charge was not disclosed until the service was already completed. In addition, *** asked my wife if we pump every year, when she initially called to schedule service. My wife replied that we do get it done every year and that we have our home up for sale. We were never advised, at any time, not to pump the tank, in lieu of us moving. Also, the attached receipt(invoice #***) clearly states, "house for sale" with an asterisk and exclamation points. In addition, receipt indicated under the recommendations section to "pump every year".
After phone calls to A & L Septic service, *** and some other individuals came out to our house on 10/31/to clean the driveway stains. Unfortunately, the stains were not successfully cleaned. I alerted *** that there are also oil stains on the driveway as well too.
I strongly disagree with the assumption by A&L Septic Service that a home/septic inspection of any kind has been completed at our residence. Our home has not been under contract, as of yet.
In conclusion, I am not pleased with the action taken by this company nor with the manner, in which, they conduct business. I believe that we should be, at the very least, compensated for the driveway stains by having A & L pay for our driveway to be reseal coated.
Regards,*** ***

Eric has spoken with [redacted] numerous times in regards to this issue.  Mr. [redacted] was informed that our proposal clearly stated this site damage clause holding us harmless in the event of any damage to curbs and such.

I told Ms [redacted] I would call [redacted].  I spoke to [redacted] and he explained to me the tank was not ready to be pumped the lid was not exposed.  After reviewing the picture I called Ms [redacted] and told her that I spoke to [redacted] I agreed with the digging charge.   Please see page 3 The first phone call that we did received concerning the driveway stains was on October 29th, I spoke to Ms [redacted].  I sent [redacted] a technician to inspect the stains on October 29th.  At that time [redacted] took pictures of the stains. Mrs [redacted] also again asked why there was additional $25.00 charge on her bill.  Please see attached pages 5-8.  As a result we went to the [redacted]s on October 31st [redacted] and two other technicians from our company went to scrub and jet the stains on the [redacted]s' driveway.  The [redacted]s signed a receipt showing that we cleaned the stains to their satisfaction.  Please see inv#[redacted] After reviewing the pictures of the stains I do not understand why this was not brought to our attention sooner then October 29th.  We would have immediately sanitized the area.  We keep are trucks maintained on a regular basis.  Also I was surprised that the [redacted]s did not call us sooner since the house is up for sale; with potential buyers looking at the house.  We would also like to note when [redacted] pumped it on October 1st, 2014 there was no for sale sign out front of their house. If we were told the house is for sale and if the house was under contract we would recommend not to clean the septic tank.  But to wait to have the septic inspection done prior to the cleaning. Mrs [redacted] only told me the pumping was just for maintance and she was changing septic companies because of our coupon.  The stains may have been a result from a home / septic inspection.  We feel this dispute may be in error Thanks

My response to the [redacted]s:  We did prove that our statements and the proof of our receipts will show that we indeed did everything we were instructed too.  Mrs [redacted] stated A & L Septic quoted 199 for pumping service at their house at [redacted].  Mr [redacted] stated Mrs [redacted] was not informed of the other charges.  Please page 1 of the attached. The price sheet that [redacted] had Ms [redacted] sign.  Which shows that Mrs [redacted] was informed of the other charges which I also explained on the phone when Ms [redacted] called to schedule the pumping.  As you will see on that price sheet Mrs [redacted] did indeed initialed and was fully aware aware of the charges.  Mrs [redacted] stated there was no digging to get access to their septic tank lid. That the lid was on top of the mulch.  Please see page 2.  [redacted] took a picture of the digging that will show the lid was actually under the mulch/dirt.  We only charged the [redacted] $25.00 for the digging.  Mrs [redacted] stated that there was stains on the driveway from [redacted]'s hose. Please see pages 3-5 of the alleged stains.  As a courtesy we scrubbed and cleaned the [redacted]s driveway.  After [redacted] completed cleaning and scrubbing the driveway at this service Mr [redacted] was present at the house.  Mr [redacted] was present at this service which Mr [redacted] signed that receipt Inv#[redacted]. please see page 6. Mr [redacted] acknowledged that the stains were cleaned to his satisfaction. Mr [redacted] told [redacted] after the cleaning of the driveway that he thought they were oil stains. Which the [redacted]s have 3 cars that park in the driveway. We would like to have Mrs [redacted]s account of this complaint; she is the one whom I spoke to for the initial call to schedule and she was the one who was at the house at the time of the pumping.  It was disclosed by Mrs [redacted] that she pumped the tank yearly and [redacted]  did the servicing before they closed up.  There was no mentioned of the house being up for sale in any of the conversations I had with Mrs [redacted].  It was not discovered until we saw the for sale sign on October 31st. It clearly does not state the house is for sale on Invoice#[redacted]. Please see page 7We do not feel this is our responsibility for the driveway. Our trucks are very well maintained; the stain could have been from another vehicle.  And why did the [redacted]s not call us about the stain in the driveway until October 29th.  We did review the prices before any work was performed. And [redacted]'s pumping receipt clearly does not state the house is for sale.  If you have any questions please feel free to call me anytime at [redacted]Thanks,[redacted]

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!! They hanged up on me twice, they are rude and have no patience!! I told them that it was an emergency, my house was flooding... They told me they will be at my house on Wednesday... No show! I called back and he told me "young lady somebody will be there tomorrow " Thursday, no show! I called and they told me at the end of the day somebody will come, again, NO SHOW! They called me on Friday and told me the story that the driver was sick and he'll be here on MONDAY!! Monday came (my house was a mess) and the driver told me that he took additional 250 gallons and that I have to pay $66 extra.. I requested the 1000 gallons for $199.. My bill went up to $266.. After I paid and they left.. The problem was still there.. My septic tank was full of water.. I even think that they never got all the gallons out..

I was quoted one thing, and was not getting the service that I was quoted.
The people were rude, and were not willing to admit their quote was not accurate.
They should learn to leave emotion out of it, and act professional.

Review: A&L Septic Services quoted my spouse, [redacted] a price of $199 over the telephone. On 10/1/2014, Invoice #[redacted] ([redacted]), pumped the septic without an explaination of how the system was running and informed [redacted] that the price was $239.68. [redacted] stated that $25.00 was for digging. The septic tank is in a mulch bed and no digging was required. [redacted] paid the amount. [redacted] left permanent stains on the driveway. Both [redacted] and [redacted] have contact A&L numerous times to correct the problem and to this date there is no resolution.Desired Settlement: We want A&L to pay for the repairs to the driveway.
