To whom it may concern: On 4/29/a [redacted] called our company requesting a Transfer Case for a Dodge Pickup [redacted] answered the call, asking [redacted] for the tag number on the transfer case as our computer system shows different tag numbers [redacted] gave him the tag number [redacted] *** quoted him $Exchange plus tax On 5/1/a [redacted] called our company again asking for a transfer case for his DodgeI was the person that answered that call, I asked him for the tag number, he again gave this same tag number [redacted] I also quoted him $Exchange plus tax On 5/1/ [redacted] came to our company and purchased a transfer case (tag number [redacted] ) from our company for $plus tax of $for a total of $ Sometime between 5/and 5/Mr [redacted] called saying he needed a driveline to make the transfer case we sold him work, but that everything else appeared correct [redacted] wasn't sure at that point what exactly the problem was, but was skeptical that was the only differenceTo figure out the problem he looked at Mr [redacted] original transfer case, but the tag was missingHe found another transfer case in our inventory with the tag number [redacted] to compare with Mr [redacted] original and there were other differencesAt that point Mr [redacted] was asked where did he get the tag number, he replied some other source (We are not positive, but we think he said the dealer)At that point he was informed that wasn't the correct number and we didn't have the correct transfer case for his Dodge [redacted] returned the transfer case on 5/18/for a refundHe was charged 20% restocking fee as is stated on the front of our invoice To summarize [redacted] called our company not once, but twice requesting a Dodge transfer case tag [redacted] We furnished one such transfer case, but it turns to be the incorrect transfer case tag number for Mr [redacted] DodgeHad we at any point been told he didn't know his transfer case tag number, we could have approached this from another angleWe may have been able to save him the drive from Eatonville to EverettWe have treated Mr [redacted] with respect and received the same in return and were under the impression all parties understood what happenedHopefully this clears up any confusion in this matter
