My husband and I were lied to and essentially scammed out of money during the construction loan processAL Farm Credit approved us to build our house, they scheduled a closing for us, then retracted the "approval" at the last minuteAfter the heartbreaking process, they then refused to give us a refund of the fees involved ($750)My husband is a firefighter and paramedic and $is a lot of money to usAfter being lied to about being approved, we felt that was the least they could doThey also let go of the employee who was helping us initiallyThey said an auditor would "eat them alive" if they had closed on our loanThat was not our faultIf they approved a loan they shouldn't have, that's on themWe accepted the denial, but they refuse to refund our money after the lies and misrepresentation of informationI would never recommend this bank to anyone
