I am rejecting this response because:I don't understand that after a company being in business for 35-40 years, did not know what kind of unit to put in my home. They knew it was a 1972 mobilehome and that my heater was outside at the back of my home. I have been so upset over this whole ordeal. From Dec. 21,2015 to Jan 10th 2016, I barely had any heat in my house except from my neighbors small electric heater. During that time, I was getting up between 230am and 330am to go to work. It was very cold and I shower in the ams before work. I do not have the matching Coleman units that I had signed for on the contract. I wouldn't have paid $6000 for an unmatched set. The owner, [redacted], came out only one time during this whole situation. I had called his company several times to try and take care of the problem. No heat. Alladin had no problem cashing my $6000 check right after Christmas, even though my airconditioner wasn't even hooked up. I called them out to check out the air and that was around the 3rd week of January. They had also left the old vent laying on the roof of my house. I have pics of that but I don't know how to download them on the computer. My brother took pics of it just laying there on the roof and then dropped it to the ground. If there had been a strong wind, it would have rolled off and could have hurt someone very badly because it is about 5 foot long and weighs 60-70 lbs. I would think. I still have that here. Alladin also took my old airconditioner and thermostat, which there was nothing wrong with them, without my permission. Like I said before, [redacted] and I did have a conversation about the wrong type heater being put in. He didn't even know which brand they would replace it with because I asked him. He did not tell me that he was going to put in a more expensive one..If anything, he kept complaining that he was going to lose $2-$3000 on this job and that he couldn't even resell the wrong unit they put in , as new, because it had been used. I again told him it was not my fault and I didn't want some rinky dink unit put in because he was losing money. His installer, [redacted] , was even there. This has been a horrible experience for me as a single, older woman. I hate to be taken advantage of. I honestly feel that Alladin owes me some of my money back because of all the inconvenience and mistakes they have made.

Our goal with all our customers is to provide good customer service.  For that reason, we offer a one year warranty on all our work.  In this situation, we were able to replace the motor at no extra charge.  The technician was in contact with the customer directly, rather than through...

the office so the schedules that were made were not always accurate.  Appointments should be made with the main office in order to make sure that a technician will be on time.  Although the problem was taken care of, it is unfortunate that there was so much misunderstandings and confusion between the homeowner, tenant, and technician.  We apologize for all the inconvenience these confusions may have caused.  A receipt will be provided for all services that were performed through warranty.

In response to the previous response from Aladdin; each phone call I made was to the office, not a technician.  I still haven't received a receipt from the replaced motor.  The fan is again not working.  I would like a full refund so I can have my a/c unit fixed correctly and honestly by another company.  This company has had opportunities to correct the problem and have not done so.

I personally spoke with the customer regarding the change in the brand of the unit to fit her needs and what we installed actually costs more than the original proposed unit therefor there is no grounds for any credits.  Please let me know what I need to do moving forward. ...

I am responding to the complaint by [redacted]. Because Ms. [redacted] lives in a mobile home, we installed a mobile home heater and air-conditioner.  Regarding why the air-conditioner was replaced; it is true that the new minimum standards beginning last year required the new Freon 410A setup and the complete unit needed to be replaced in order to do that.  What was misdiagnosed was that even though Ms. [redacted] lives in a mobile home, the mobile home heater was not necessary and the set-up she has requires a regular heater.  When I discovered that, I spoke with Ms. [redacted] directly and explained to her that we would be bringing in the new heater, which was more expensive, at no charge to her.  Before the installation was made, Ms. [redacted] gave her verbal consent to the change.  There is no recourse for a request for this sum of money when there was no extra charge collected from her.  We rectified the problem and installed a brand new heater and air-conditioner while providing a ten year parts and labor warranty.  We value Ms. [redacted]'s business and all our customers and apologize for any inconvenience or misunderstanding that may have occurred.

My landlord called Aladding for us since the AC unit was blowing hot air. They gave us a 2 hour window for showing up. After that 2 hour window was done with a no call no show, we called and they said the technicians were running late. Gave them another hour. Another hour later, still no one. Technician calls says 45 minutes. They finally show just to say it's low on freon. Charged our landlord over $600. AC worked for 2 days, then started blowing hot air again. Temperatures were reaching 105 in Tracy. My son's room became a sauna when I left the AC on thinking it was ok to work. Had my landlord call again. Same thing... no call no show for the given 2 hour window. I called every 30 minutes asking for an ETA and they would give the same response, they're running late. I complained how they were late 2 hours the last time, said the technician will give me a call for an ETA. Waited 30 minutes, no call. I call Aladdin again, this time they don't answer. Finally the technician calls me to say they are 10 minutes away. After looking at the unit, said it was a faulty starter. They were suppose to my landlord before doing any work on the AC unit since it was suppose to just be an inspection, but they went ahead and replaced it. They didn't have me sign anything. Not sure if they are going to charge our landlord for the starter replacement.

If a business gives a window and the technician or whoever is going to be late... give the customer a courtesy call. We can't sit around and wait and just assume they will eventually show up.

And I don't understand how they are 2 hours late for an appointment when they seem to spend just 30 minutes working on the unit.

Aladdin Heating and Air Conditioning is one of the most professional companies I have dealt with. They do excellent work, stand behind their wok, give fair prices and are friendly and professional. I have had them out to work on my air three times and all but the first time was them just standing behind their work that was gaurantied for two years, no charge for the last two visits.

Review: On 12/20/2015, I called out Aladdin Heat and Air because my heater had gone out. [redacted] came out from this company and told me I needed a new furnace cuz if he could even find the part I needed , it would cost about $1400. He told me that it would be better to switch out both units, heat and air, because the new heater he would put in would not work with my old airconditioner, even though it was a 2002 and I had no problems with it.The Freon is different now. [redacted] talked me into purchasing a whole new Coleman heat/air unit for $6200. I told him I wasn't prepared to pay that much money but I needed the heater. [redacted] then called the owner , [redacted], and asked for a discount for me. He gave me a $200 discount. My brother was here when all this took place. I live in a mobile home so my furnace is on the outside back of my home. The next day, 12/21/2015, [redacted], the installer came out to put in the unit while I was at work. He completed the furnace appx. 7 pm that night. [redacted] came in that night to check it and it seemed to blow out cool and warm air. The next day I called and [redacted] came out to check the furnace. On 12/24/2015, [redacted] came out to check the furnace and pick up my check for $6000. He put in a $400 thermostat , he said, and said the new unit needed more ventilation. [redacted] then put a piece of wood and my ladder to hold the door open for ventilation. [redacted] said he would send someone out in a couple to have them cut another vent in the door.I waited during the holidays, but had to borrow my neighbors heater, for my early showers for work, because the heater wasn't working in the house. It kept shutting off. [redacted] came out on 1/8/2016, to cut a new vent. It was dark, so I didn't go check it. The next day 1/9/2016, the heater was still not working and the owner came out with [redacted]. The owner said it was the wrong heater for outside . Its an inside heater and that's why it keeps shutting off. The owner said he would put the correct one in but he would be losing $2000-$3000 . Not my problem.Desired Settlement: I have much more to say, but I ran out of characters.I feel that I have been overcharged for what I have received, because I did not get what was on the original contract that I had signed. It was suppose to be a matching set and now I have a Coleman air and Goodman heater. Idid not sign a contract for that.I am not happy at all with what I have had to go through since December 20, 2015. On 1/27 Michael brought another invoice for what they had put in. They didn't even hook up the air til 1/28

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:When my heater went out, my 2002 Air conditioner was working fine. Never had any problems with it. When [redacted], from Alladin came out he told me that the new heater would not work with the older airconditioner because the Freon had changed. He then talked me into purchasing a set Heat/Air conditioner units for $6000.00 I was totally upset and started crying. I am a single woman with only my income. The only contract I signed was for a coleman brand heater and airconditioner. It was a flat rate. They put it in on the 21st of December 2015 and I gave them a check for that amount on the 24th. Everything should have been completed by then. I had to call out the business several times because the heater kept shutting off. [redacted] came back the following week cuz I had called him and told him it kept shutting off. I had to borrow my neighbors portable heater for almost a month because I was getting up at 330 am to shower and go to work. [redacted] told me it needed more venting. He said he would send someone out after the holidays to vent it properly. In the mean time, my door to the heater was propped open with a piece of wood and my ladder. [redacted] finally came out to vent the door and the heater was still shutting off. That's when the owner, [redacted] came out on the 9th of January 2016 and said they had installed the wrong type of heater. The one they installed was for indoors not out. [redacted] then told me that I needed a different unit made for out doors. [redacted] told me then that he was going to lose 2-$3000. I told it that it wasn't my fault. [redacted] then said he couldn't resale the unit cuz now it was used. I again said it wasn't my fault. I ask [redacted] what brand he was going to put in and he said he didn't know.Eventually, after afew calls from me, they finally hooked up the air and that was about the 3rd week in January. I do not have a matching set that I had agreed to. I am very unhappy with all of this.
