Service requested; Cut down large oak in backyard
Very unprofessional, unreliable, and an outright annoyance to work with
I'll start with my experience from beginning with this company to the end which ended up being about a month of communications
I mainly spoke with the owner of the company, Glenda I believe her name was, and another Skip who I believe is the primary guy who goes out to sites, and provides quotes for the work
I started out getting quotes from quite a few companies, and after speaking with Skip, he seemed very confident that his team could tackle the tree with no issues, and was very flexible with the price for the workNegotiating with Skip was honestly the best experience with them
Once I notified Skip that I would like to schedule a time for their services, he informed me that he would notify Ameren (the electric company) to drop the power lines for both my house, and my neighborsWe spoke that Monday, and scheduled it for the following SaturdayDuring that discussion, I asked if I should call and request for the power lines to be dropped, and he assured me that he would call and schedule it
The next day, I called Aladdin’s main number, and as you will come to read, no one answeredI left a message asking for them to verify if we were good to go on Saturday and never received any responseI then called again Thursday, and same thingLeft a message asking for confirmation, and not hearing anything back
Since we were leaving on vacation that following week, I really needed the confirmation that we were good to go for SaturdaySince I received no reply from either Glenda or Skip, I called Ameren and asked if the line drop had been scheduled by someone from Aladdin I was told that nothing was scheduledThe next day Friday, I received a call from Skip stating that they would be unable to come out Saturday, due to Ameren being unable to drop the lines, due to late noticeAfter speaking with Ameren multiple times during this whole debacle, I had come to learn that they typically require days advanced noticeFrom my point of view, Skip had days to call and schedule, which he did notHe then proceeded to schedule the line drop for the following Saturday, while we were out on vacation(He knew from prior discussions, that we would be out of town)
Skip then proceeded to ask if we could pay them before we leave, and they would have the tree down when we came backSince it's a large tree, I wanted to be there in case anything happened, and declined the offerI had informed Skip all this time that the reason I chose their service is because he was able to cut down the tree the weekend before we left for vacationSince they dropped the ball, I chose to go with another service
With the other tree service company lined up to come out, (Clippers), they came out on their scheduled date, informed me they under quoted me, and requested for more money the day of the jobI rejected their request, called Skip back, and requested they come out at a later date to take care of the tree
Aladdin's tree service was scheduled to come out this past Saturday, 5/I again called multiple times during the week starting Monday, attempting to get confirmation that the tree was going to be cut downAfter calls to both Glenda and Skip, again Glenda is the owner, I received no responseIt was not until that Thursday, that Skip called me, I stated my concern about the lack of follow up, and he assured me that he would call Ameren then and there, and call me back in minsThe Friday before the scheduled time, I again called Ameren and asked if line drop had been scheduled for the properties, and they notified me that no one had requested it
Saturday Morning comes around and I receive a call from Skip who said that it was a bit too windy to come out and cut the treeSince the line drop was not requested, which was required for this tree to be cut down, it seems that they had no intention of coming out that SaturdayI would have appreciated it if they would have just been straight forward and told me
We again, scheduled it for the next Saturday 5/
A little context for this next partMy parents live in the same sub-division as I and saw another tree service removing a large tree similar to mine that needs to be cut downShe informed me of how well they handled the tree, and I told her to give them my informationThis other company came out and provided me a quote much comparable to what Aladdin’s provided me, and it was quite a bit betterThis happened 5/I told this new company of the above situation, and offered them the chance for my service if they were able to come out that Saturday 5/21, and they agreed
That same day, 5/19, I called Aladdin and like always, no one answered, so I left a voice message saying that I would like to cancel their visit, and that I would be using another company due to the frustrations I experienced with themI also requested that they that they not cancel the scheduled line drop with Ameren due to the other company requiring the line drop
Today, 5/I received a call from the owner GlendaShe decided to let loose, and rant to me about how "ruthless" I am, stating how I should "lose their number" because of all the grief that I caused themShe was apparently under the impression, that I was the one who canceled all the prior timesI presume that this is what Skip told herI attempted to request for her to stop yelling/ranting at me in order for me to explain the situation so that this doesn't happen with her other customers, and she hung upI called her back again, stating how unprofessionally she was handling this, and that I would like the chance to tell her my side of the experienceShe continued to yell, talk over me, call me names, and even made a sly remark about how I wouldn't dare say any of this to her face, in which I told her I would be more than willing to discuss this face to face She again, hung up on me, but not before reminding me that this other company is probably just a bunch of "yoohoos", who will fell the tree onto the houses, and destroy the propertyYet from my impression, this is exactly how I feel about this company, Aladdin Tree service, is
Completely unprofessional, unreliable, and stressed me out so much dealing with all of thisI still cannot believe the call I received from the owner of this companyCustomer Service is obviously not this company's forteI will be sure to spread this review, and ensure that they no longer get business from the sub-division that I live in or any others that I am able to spread my experience with

This business is a farceWe received estimates from different companies to have a couple of trees removed from our back yard and we chose Aladdin, due to priceThey were the cheapest, first mistake After several attempts (at least 5) to set up an appt to have the work done, I was finally told they would come out the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and I quote, "...if my crew isn't to hung over, it is the Saturday after Turkey day after all..." to which I said, OK if not Sat then Monday? to which "Skip" responded, "...definitely, (second mistake) No show on MonAgain after attempts to re-schedule they finally show up on the following Friday, after they were a no-show on the day beforeThey were to cut down trees to ft stumps, cut all the wood to ft pieces and stack the wood because I had someone coming by to take all the wood After all day the first day, they were not finished and he asked to be paid the $2,because it was Friday and his crew was asking to get paid, third mistake I paid him the full amount in a check made payable to his wife, Brenda M***, per his requestAsked when they would be back and he told me the next day on Sat No surprise, they were a no show again Again after 4-attempts to get them to come back they showed up about days later I was watching them off and on as they worked and the next thing I know, they're gone Left a huge mess in our yard, took a piece out of our privacy fence, put a hole in our garden shed and a couple pieces of the trees were impaled in the yardCalled several times trying to find out when they would be back to finish what they had already been paid for and no one would answer, so I finally left a message "Skip" called back days later and said they would be back in a couple days, no show again A couple weeks went by and we had someone come out and give us an estimate of what it would cost to get the mess cleaned up and were told we were looking at at least another 2-days worth of work that would probably cost us another $1,500.00!!! My husband was finally able to roll the huge pieces into the outer area of our yard, but the wood is way too large now for anyone to come get it to use as firewood Aladdin has never come back, never returned my calls, nor have they tried to call me The gentleman that came to give us an estimate to clean up the mess they made and left said he has heard nothing but bad about Aladdin and had cleaned up several of their messes before I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN NOR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE, QUITE THE CONTRARY They should not be allowed to continue to scam people

I've had the surgery in August and spoke to the business twice since to get the job done. The issue with the truck goes to early September. It is the sample thing they told me before. However, if they follow up as promised, I will be satisfied.
