Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2015/10/07) */
The customer did bring is Cub-Cadet mower on 08/15/15 and was told we were 2 week behind. Mower was not running when it was dropped off. Customer wanted us to
get the mower running, and service the mower. Customer
was called on 9/4/15 and...

told the service was done but
the Carburetor needed a float bowl kit to get the mower running. He OK the repair he asked when he could expect to get is mower back, and we told him we didn't have a date because the float kit was back ordered at our supplier. He came in on 9/26/15 and picked up his mower, did not want to wait for repair (float kit is still on back order) He also did not pay for the work that had been done to his mower $51.01 in parts plus the labor to install parts.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2015/10/12) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
It was stated that I was called on 9/4/15 and "told the service was done". This is not a true and accurate statement. I was called after visiting their facility the day before and was told no work had been performed. On 9/26/15 I again visited their facility and advised that I was there to pick up my mower. The desk person and the service manager checked their computer and agreed that no charges were listed and that I could pick up my mower. If there were charges owed I'm sure that they would have advised me prior to opening their storage facility and allowing the mower to be removed. I had cash, check and credit card ready and was prepared to pay. I had my mower serviced and the carburetor replaced at a cost of
$196.89 within 4 days of removing my mower from their storage yard. I feel compensation for repairs would be as follows $196.89 - $51.01 = $145.88 the owner owes me for repairs and total of 6 weeks (4 weeks over due) for lost use of mower.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2015/10/13) */
We could have put a New Carburetor on his mower, but we were trying to save him money. Had we put the kit in the carburetor his bill including the service on the mower would have been $180.00. We will split the $145.88 with him for the loss of his time.
Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 12, 2015/10/14) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
