Dear Revdex.com Representative:This response is in regards to the complaint [redacted] submitted on February 2, 2015.Alamo Apartments, Increfuses Mr***' disputed amount of $Staff responded promptly and properly to each issueMaintenance staff responded promptly upon receiving the call about Mr***' dryerIt was found that zippers from clothing had gotten caught in the appliance and caused it to stop rotating, generating the "abgrinding sound" describedRepair parts are not available for purchase locally and have to be special orderedThere was a mistake made while ordering the parts which caused a delay in the correct parts being receivedInstead of waiting for the repair parts, Mr [redacted] was provided with a brand new washer and dryerAlamo Apartments, Incgave Mr [redacted] $in gift cards for this inconvenience, which he stated was an insult and returned the cards to managementMaintenance staff also responded promptly when Mr [redacted] called about his heaterThe unit was inspected each time and no issues were ever foundThis lead staff to believe that the pilot was going out due to an operational error, which sometimes happensThe heater was most recently re-lit on February 1, The unit has been working properly since then to our knowledgeWhen Mr [redacted] called about his refrigerator, staff responded promptly to assess the problemThe appliance was found to be in working orderMr [redacted] still insisted the appliance was broken, so he was provided another refrigerator and the "broken" one was relocated to be inspectedA third-party appliance repair shop inspected the refrigerator taken from Mr***' apartment and reported it to be working properly with no issuesThe appliance is in use elsewhere and has had no issues whatsoeverAs you can see, all issues have been resolvedAlamo Apartments, Incis unaware of any "on-going problem" as stated in the initial complaintWe believe that the tenant was under the impression he was obligated to an annual lease and was looking for ways to terminate his contract without penaltyHowever, the agreement renews on a month-to-month basis after the first year (which Mr [redacted] has completed) so all that would be needed was a 30-day Notice of Intent to VacateThe tenant has since provided his notice to management and is scheduled to vacate mid-March Sincerely,Alamo Apartments, Inc

Dear Revdex.com Representative:We are sorry Mr [redacted] feels this way about our business; however, we stand by our initial statement that our staff responded promptly and appropriately to Mr***' complaintsAlamo Apartments, Incwould be happy to grant a tenant compensation if, in fact, issues were not addressed in a timely and appropriate manner; however, this is not the case with Mr***As previously stated, Mr [redacted] received a brand new washer and dryer setIt was never implied or stated the tenant intentionally caused the zippers to become caught in the applianceWrong parts were ordered which caused a delay, so the set was replaced to avoid causing the tenant further inconvenienceMr [redacted] was satisfied with this solution upon installation of the new appliancesAgain, reiterating our last response, staff responded promptly when Mr [redacted] called about his heater and each time did not find any default in the furnace besides the pilot lightOperator error (not using the thermostat correctly) is known to cause the pilot light to go outThe heater is in working order, as it has been since the beginning of February The refrigerator was also responded to in a timely manner and, again, found to be working by our staffAfter further complaint by Mr***, the refrigerator was removed and replaced so that it could be inspected more thoroughlyPlease see the attached report from the third party inspector deeming the appliance as workingThe appliance is being used and has not had any problems whatsoeverAlamo Apartments, Inchas made every effort to appease Mr***, besides issue compensation for problems that were promptly and appropriately tended toAlamo Apartments, Incunderstands its responsibility as a landlord and its obligation to its tenantsWe hold our Revdex.com A+ rating with honor and believe we uphold those standards.Sincerely,Alamo Apartments, Inc

We sincerely apologize for the issues Mr [redacted] claims to have experiencedHowever, the toilet leak has been fixed and the dryer has been replacedMr [redacted] visited the leasing office on April 15, to pay rent and inquired about the requirements to terminate his lease early under the military clauseThe property manager advised him of the requirements, which Mr [redacted] did not meetIt is believed that this complaint transpired in an attempt to break the lease prematurely after Mr [redacted] learned he did not meet the requirements under the agreementSince the issues were resolved, Mr [redacted] will not be refunded any monies and he will be held to the term of the lease unless he meets the criteria per the leaseSincerely,Alamo Apartments, Inc

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: There's pictures I have taken minutes before writing this responseValidating that this dryer has not been fixedI have all proper documentation for leaving these apartments because stating in the AFI, terminal leave is another form of TDY attached to Military ordersI will not be in the local area because of separating, job hunting, and finding another place to stay while living in a permanent area after leaving the militaryThis is beyond unacceptable and it's shameful that this company would lie on a official complain or try to scam an individual for rent moneyPoor costumer service and details concerning military clausesI have five other individuals who can account for such an act and also who have taken pictures today seeing that the issues are not solvedThis issue is getting out of handle whether there's some animosity towards the complaint makes against the companyI am being scammed and taking advantage of from this company and would like to see successful resolves from this awful dilemmaA refund of the amount of not having a dryer and the additional refund concerning using other facilities and use of gasThis company have created numerous issues and stress from this ongoing situation
