Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:- Complaint - No contract If there was no contract - what did I and my neighbors pay 50% of? I signed a paper he prepared and I forwarded my copy to Revdex.com as my initial complaint A purchase contract requires consideration (payment) If there was no contract - why was there a need to pay 50% deposit?? - Complaint - Labor Only - I hired [redacted] to build a concrete shed slab (only) Not the full shed There is no value to me to hire a CONCRETE CONTRACTOR who does not form a base nor pour concrete The hire was labor to form a shed base, add rebar (per his CONTRACT), and pour a slab 4" think per HIS CONTRACT- Complaint - Materials Purchased - Materials are still in my fenced in yard where he placed them I was told the purpose of the 50% pre-pay was to purchase material and labor to form the shed base (or sidewalks / concrete pad for my neighbors) The remaining 50% was to be paid after the concrete was poured- Complaint - Did not pay for concrete upfront - My shed was never formed to receive concrete [redacted] states "the concrete was to be paid upfront "as a "requirement of delivery." Since he states, in number above, there was no contract, how can he NOW state it was a requirement of delivery?I am willing to return the materials (re-bar) that is on my private property when I get a full refund At that time - we can resolve this complaint Regards, [redacted] ***

A mistake was made by not putting a drain mark on the drive that was deep enoughWe went back twice and cut the concrete so it would drain faster [redacted]

There is no contract, they paid me for the work I did on the yardHe kept asking for more & more like sprinkler lines moved, plants relocated and fence on the side of house [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:(1) I offered to return the never used re-bar to [redacted] Thus he would be made whole, out nothing, zero dollars However - he has refused to accept this offer With my prior offer, I stated I would this complaint with the Revdex.com He would rather have his business name tarnished than return $and get back his un-used materials? Not a sound business decision And he sez I am un-realistic? (2) My copy of the contract is mute on 100% pre-pay before the concrete is poured Four of us are willing to testify in court, if needed, that we were told 50% pre-pour and 50% after pour.(3) Since all the material is still "un-used," I'm still trying to figure out why [redacted] is expected to receive the 2nd half of the payment? The job was not ready for concrete?? The form boards were not closed in / backfill was never completed, and the steel re-bar was not set That being the case - the work site was not ready to be poured - thus why would you ask for the 2nd half of the payment? And I'm being un realistic? [redacted] can produce NO TEXT - NOR AN E-MAIL that requests a payment PRIOR to pouring concrete.(4) I have spoken to a neighbor resident where [redacted] poured their driveway, and they verified to me that they paid 50% prior to pour and 50% POST pour Same as I/we were told That neighbor also stated they have attempted to make contact with [redacted] but have been un-successful to get returned calls / e-mails or texts They stated they will also be filing a Revdex.com complaint for their concrete is "holding water" and not draining properly. It amazes me that Alamo Area Concrete / [redacted] would rather have his business name tarnished than return $and get back his un-used materials? Not a sound business decision And he sez I am un-realistic?Regards, [redacted] ***

On this complaint, Alamo Concrete Contractors dug out the hole, set the form, put the steel, and had it ready to pour Mrs [redacted] did not give me the funds to pay for the concrete Thank you, [redacted]

Mr [redacted] and I have formally responded to our concerns and are unable to come to an agreement I will not complete the foundation because his is being unrealistic He has not for fulfilled his agreement of materials and money Thank you, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: A contract was drafted by Mr [redacted] and signed I am in possession of a copy of this contract He did not complete his obligations with respect to this contractThere were no additional requests made by me after the contract was signed He damaged my sprinkler lines due to careless digging of my front lawn Prior to drafting the contract, he was made aware that there were sprinkler lines on my property and assured me that would not be an issue - this was also clear by surveying and visually inspecting the property Once the sprinklers were damaged, I notified him of this issue and asked him to address it (I did not request him to move the sprinkler lines - just fix what he damaged) When he first met me, he told me that he was insured for up to $million should there be any damage to my property I did not request a fence be placed on the side of the house The check was cashed for more than the amount written on the check Regards, [redacted] ***

Nothing but liesThere is no contract with this customer doing business with Alamo Concrete Contractors [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because owners reply does not address the main issue of our complaint which deals with a portion of the Part of the project
First I appreciate owners reply however his missed the point I'll address each point in order:
-- yes we did make payment in full with the understanding that the job would be completed as agreed upon and to our final satisfaction We made half of the payment on Wed, Aug and the final half on Friday Aug (bad on our part now) before we went out of town Before we left the owner stated they would be done that weekend but the concrete would need at least til Tuesday to properly dry before we walked or drove our cars back into the driveway/garage We returned late Sunday nite and followed his instructions
- after waiting til Wednesday, we drove the cars into the garage with no problem However at this point is where we had a problem with the job site at the main step area by the front door The concrete was uneven, ruff and was not up to all the edges of the door/outside wall frame At this time, approx Aug we contacted the owner by email and told him of the issue and he stated he would send his crew back out and correct the job, and they did However what they did was put down another layer of concrete that either wasn't the same shade as the original or from the same source (truck or redi-mix) Once that had dried, we again saw the disparity still in the concrete for that area of the job and we emailed the owner again on Sep He said he would send his team out again He did come back out to look at the porch and stated it was fine I've attached a copy of the last picture taken that was sent to the owner disputing that it looks fine!! still looks sloppy, uneven and two different concrete types/shades-- The part about the concrete crack -- We accept the part that concrete cracks to a point Find it hard that it would crack within week after it was put down Our complaint if towards the sloppy, uneven, unlevel job done as part of Part of the project where the main front step leading up to the front door to our house was built up as is stated above in para and below in our originally filed complaint:
contracted with the Owner to perform a part projects: -- remove and replace existing driveway and walkway concrete up to the front porch entryway-- build up/level off existing concrete in the entire walkway and specifically the front door porch area to accommodate my handicapped wife for wheelchair accessibilityProject #was done to our complete satisfaction Project #was not -- front porch area was built up/leveled off, however the finished product/area has a width long crack, and the area built up is two different shade, uneven and ruffHad to request the owner to come out the first time to correct the incomplete job, then asked him to come back out to correct/level off/smooth over the sloppiness of the original job/requestthis is where we have hit an impasseThe owner told me the width wide crack was "a natural" happening and told us that he did come out and fix the other issues but still looks sloppy, incomplete and unprofessional for what we paid forPlease feel free to contact me or come out to sight visit to get a first hand view of the issuesI also have pictures if neededthanks for your time and appreciate any help you can provideI know its most likely hopeless especially from a company that has an F Revdex.com ratingv/r *** *** ** ***
thanks again for your time Again if anyone from the Revdex.com or the Owner would like to come back out and survey the job site they are more then welcome at any time

This complaint was filed almost two months later. As for the check he gave me, I went to the bank and cashed it as we agreed. I cashed it at face value and did not alter it in any wayThis job was for labor only. Also, Mr*** was
underline;">to remove plants, realign sprinklers, and deal with HOA. He did not keep his end of the deal. I set the form, put the base, steel, and had it concrete ready. At that time, I was to collect for the concrete that is paid for in cashMr *** was nowhere to be found and did not call me backMr*** wanted landscaping, plumbing, and concrete in two locations but and wanted it for next to nothing and at his convenience. That is not what we agreed Thank you, *** ***
