Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: the contract does not specifically state what the hourly rate would be post the time frame I had rented the vehicle forI am just so shocked that even after spending hundreds of dollars i'm being penalized for being a few minutes lateThis is just purely bad businessI have rented vehicles from various car rental agencies and I have never experienced this type of an issue.Sincerely, [redacted] ***

As we have previously indicated we believe the damage occured during this rental

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: This is crazy in size 0.005 font you have the hidden charges. I can't believe that as a customer courtesy you wouldn't give a credit. Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com:I have presented the clerk Shawn with the return flight evidence but he did not want to believe it for some discriminatory reason, he needs cultural and sensitivity training or be removed from the position all together. Sincerely, *** ***

Please see the attached original rental agreement and copy of the Rental Agreement Jacket. Paragraph defines days as well as hours. Car as rented at 19:and returned at 20:this is more than a couple minutes and is well into the extra hour that was charged
**Attachments documents retracted**

Thank you for your inquiry. The rental in question was picked up at 19:and returned at 20:which increased the charge from a straight day rental to days and extra hour. At the time of rental the return time and rates are clearly printed on the contract, the return date and
time is verified during the rental process. Had the customer indicated he might be late the Agent would have gone into more detail as to the extra hour charges. One rental day is hours from pickup, beyond that, extra hours apply as well as any taxes and surcharges we must collect. The extra hour charge is valid

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: As I have stated many times since the occurrence of this unfortunate event, I reject this response of yours because we didn't damage the Chevrolet Sonic we rented from you I don't know how it got damaged Maybe it was damaged before we got it Maybe somebody stole it from the parking lot of our hotel and took it out and damaged it I don't know how it got damaged I don't know why it took a day and a half and over a hundred miles for three quarts of oil to leak out of it I only know that that's what happened And, it happened without us driving over the rock of Gibraltar or any other object that could have damaged the undercarriage Something happened We didn't do it.It's a mystery I don't feel that I'm responsible for mysteries Did you even look at whoever had the car before we did? We can't do that You can I'll say it again There were three of us in the car at all times Three sensate adult human beings with higher than average IQs We would have noticed if we had driven over something, or hit something, or in any way encountered something that tore up the bottom of that car We didn't notice anything until the oil light came on At that time, we responded responsibly and correctly, for which we have been wrongfully accused of doing something we did not do.Sincerely,*** ***

Debit card rentals can be more time consuming than standard Credit Card rentals. We do accept debit card rentals with the following policy:
When renting in the US, a credit card in the name of the renter must be presented at the time on rental; otherise, Debit/Cbeck cards are accepted
along with proof of a confirmed round trip travel ticket (airline, cruise ship or train). Without proof of roundtrip ticket, debit or check cards are only accepted as a form if payment at time of return
It sound like there may have been some confusion in regards to the "proof of of confirmed round trip travel ticket" which may have caused the delay. Looking at the previous rentals I see that a traditional ticket was not presented but a shared services flight information was subsituted, having provided a copy of this confirmation should have expidited the process
For the delay in sevice and confusion I am placeing a 25% credit on this rental. To help aviod this delay in the future please make sure to have copy of the return trip confirmation
Sincerely,
Alamo Car Rental - Anchorage Alaska

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:We didn't run over anything that would have caused the damage I know it took awhile to start leaking I have no explanation for that, except that maybe somebody put some sort of leak rdant in the crank case But, I don't know why it waited to leak I know that the leak started slowly and intensified I also know that we did nothing to damage that car It's a mystery But, I don't think it's right to hold me responsible for mysteries The car which replaced that one took us all around Alaska for ten days and several hundred miles with no leakage Because it wasn't pre-damaged.Sincerely,*** ***

As we have previously indicated we believe the damage occured during this rental.

Sorry for the reponse time to your inquiry.  Your email was identified as spam and was not located until this morning as I was running through my Spam file.I personally looked at the damage on the vehicle and the volume of oil that was leaking, it was apparent that the car could not be driven...

long without the oil completly running out.  The damage appeared to be from some sort of road hazard (rock, or some other object) possibly struck at highway speeds causing the exhaust and oil pan impact.  This is a lower riding vehicle so it does not have large ground clearance the object would not have to have been giant by any means it appeared to be a front to back impact as you would see running over something.  Had the damage been present prior to the rental the vehicle would have run out of oil very rapidly even if not running most likely overnight, given that the car was sat overnight, driven around Anchorage and then driven 100 miles prior to the warning light, it seem most credible that the dame occured on the trip to the glacier.  The customer even indicated that after putting oil in the car they ate lunch and when completed the oil was substaintially down in that short time.Unfortunately, I have looked at this claim multiple times and still come the same conclusion that the damage occured during this rental.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: This is crazy in size 0.005 font you have the hidden charges. I can't believe that as a customer courtesy you wouldn't give a credit. Sincerely,[redacted]
