This is my version of the events concerning the customer complaint#- In his statement homeowner said he hooked it up and ran the washer/dryerprior to our installation.Truth- I sent [redacted] and upon arrival he found the drain line and supplyhoses were still in the factory sealed bag and the washer and dryer units werein the center of the kitchen unattached#2- Told it would be $and charged $320.Truth- I told homeowner it would take 2-hours it was a time plus material ticket. The itemized material ( $92.50) plus labor( $127.50) came to $320.#3- The kitchen and basement flooded upon first useTruth- The month before while installing a tankless water heater, I enquired why thehome owner had a powered drain snake and he replied because his drains hadbacked up before.#- Regarding the verbal contract he had with [redacted] about fixing the drainTruth- [redacted] did come back and take apart and snake the drain line but found theproblem was further in than his snake could reach [redacted] gave the home-owner [redacted] 's contact info- a plumber that specializes in that kind ofplumbing problem [redacted] Geber Plumbing does not specialize in repair work...new construction , remodel and installation are our main focus.#5- Homeowner insists that he had run the washer on the old lines with no issueTruth- See #again- The washer was not hooked up upon initial contact [redacted] also explained that the new washer's have higher water output than olderstyles which that along with clogged pipes likely caused his flooding issue.Bottom line- Homeowner was not charged extra for anything they didn't agree to.We fulfilled our part of the agreementThe flooding had nothing to do withthe installation of the appliance which is the only thing we were hired to doand the only thing we were paid forWe did not even charge anything for theadditional visit to try and snake the pipesWe were not at fault for thisincident and acted curteously and professionally. It is unfortuante that the homewner had to pay for pipe cleaning butobviously if he had no furhter flooding inssue than that was the problemnot the work we performed
