I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I am not satisfied at all!! Apparently *** is as dishonest outside his shop, I had the car brought over there for him to check out multiple times,he drove it one time and checked the fluid and said it was fine ,when it clearly was not, he also knew it was for my personal vehicle, does he rebuild them different if they are for a business? I was never informed that he only offered a day warranty on his work, had I known this I wouldn't have had him do anything, I could have gotten a used transmission for half the cost of rebuilding it and gotten a day warranty, the guy is a crook and a liar, neither time did I have to pay up front,he falsified the dates the 2nd time he had the trans for over a month!!! I have the falsified receipt as well as many witnesses, as for the part of his statement on the having someone else removing and installing the transmission I did it myself and I am an ase certified auto technician,with over yrs experience, why would I pay to have the uncertified, low experience people he employs do it?? I trusted this man and paid him to perform a service, which he did very poorly, it wasn't done correctly to start with,it went a total of miles before it completely failed,at no time did I have an appointment as they stated, just more dishonestyThe second time they had it,nothing was ever said about 400,until the gal called and said it was done,I have the message she left on my phone!! Had I known it was going to cost me I would never let him fix it, he didn't do it correct the first time for 850, nor was it done correctly the 2nd time for the 400, I got it back with a burnt out torque converter and had to pay another for it, so I have in a transmission that is still not working correctly,when I could have had it done at another local shop for and gotten a year's warranty as well, his answer here attested to his dishonesty, also notice his receipts on his work order have no signature authorizing him to do any of the work without contacting me, the man is a fraud and a liar and should be shut down before he does this to anyone else, I also manage an auto repair shop and would never do this to any of my customers, I would like returned to me for the second repair and converter, even though it should be the whole thing since I have to have it done again for the 3rd time!!! I would like this resolved here before I have to take things further and take to court

customers from not picking up their transmission, and Alans Automotive is not out the money for parts and labor.Our warranties are not transferable to anyone*** *** introduced himself as a representative for *** Brake and led us to believe the job was for his companyThis is why the warranty is in the name of *** Brake and not *** ***Then sometime later he informed us that the transmission was his personal transmission.Mr*** brought his 4L60E transmission in on Wednesday 09/10/which was the day the work order was writtenAlan’s Automotive did not start on the job until Wednesday 09/16/and it takes two days to rebuild the 4L60EMr*** claims he brought his vehicle back on Sunday 09/13/and we are closed on weekendsHis 4L60E transmission has not even been worked on yet.Anytime Alan’s Automotive quotes a job we tell the customer the price and warranty to themWe do not start a job until the customer tells us to and understands the given quote and warrantyIf a customer has another person install their transmission Alan’s Automotive has no way of knowing if it was installed correctly.My *** called Alan’s Automotive in March of saying he was having trouble with his transmissionHe was told to schedule an appointment and bring back in the 4L60E to be looked atAlan’s Automotive did not hear from Mr*** until Tuesday April 19, and Alan’s Automotive scheduled him an appointment for Monday April 25, He was a no call no show for his appointment on Monday April 25, Mr*** called back on Thursday May 5, and told Alan’s Automotive that he has not gotten anyone to remove the 4L60E.Mr*** later scheduled an appointment for Monday May 09, and Alan’s Automotive informed him that everything was running a week behind due to the amount of work on the schedule at the timeMonday came and Mr*** was a no call and no show againAlan’s Automotive was closed for vacation from Saturday May 14, up to Sunday May 22, Alan’s Automotive reopened for business the following day on Monday May 23, 2016.Mr*** showed up on Wednesday May 25, without an appointment and carried in the 4L60E transmissionAlan’s Automotive checked out the 4L60E transmission and informed Mr*** that it would need to be rebuilt again and it would cost him $for parts and laborMr*** gave the ok for Alan’s Automotive to rebuild the carry in 4L60E transmission.Alan's Automotive Transmission Specialist || New Albany, Indiana
