[redacted] Dear [redacted] This will respond to your January 14, letter regarding an inquiry submitted to the Revdex.com by [redacted] The initial inspection and determination that the covered damages did not exceed the insured’s deductible was concluded and below deductible letter to the insured was issued on 7/23/2014; this is within days of the report of the lossThe insured’s son became involved with the claim and disagreed with our investigation findingsOur additional investigation included the hiring of an engineer to assess the damagesDue to the continued disagreement with our coverage evaluation by the insured and her son; ultimately the Appraisal provision of the policy was invoked and payment was made issued on the Umpires Award determination The Appraisal Award is inclusive of all damages related to the loss and is the binding resolution of the claimIf there was damage to the decking and costs related to the cleaning of a rug, it was the responsibility of the insured and their appraiser to acknowledge and present the damages for consideration by the Umpire, as the award rendered by the Umpire is deem to be the full resolution of all damages related to the loss The additional damages now being presented by [redacted] fall outside of the policy provisions of coverage as specified by the Umpire under the Appraisal provisions of her policy [redacted] has repeatedly been advised of the resolution of the claim under the Appraisal provisions and that no additional funds will be paid based on the rendering of the Umpires Award? I am rejecting this response
because: The reason that was given to me were unreasonableI was told that due to the fact that I had a speeding ticket they had to raise my rates, I received the speeding ticket in 2015, I was insured with them at the time if that ticket had any effect on my policy it should of been when I received itThen I was told that since I question the price hike on my policy that I didn't except it then there was nothing that could be doneI did not receive a notice that my insurance payment was being raised I found out about the price hike when I called the company to find out why they had not deducted the payment from my account as alwaysI was told then and also told that I would have to take some type of test given by *** for careful driving of some such nonsenseI explained that I was on a fix income and that I did not have that amount at this timeI have a budget that I allot my money to bills that have to be paid monthly and I try not to do anything before paying these billsBut to wait until day of and tell me that you have raised my paymentsWhat can I do but say I can't afford that and cancelI was put in the position to where as I did not have a chooseAnd when I called back my cancellation had been days and they tell me they're sorry but they will have to charge me now $3000.00, with a $payment up front, and the reason is that I received a speeding ticket in Something is wrong with this whole pictureThat's why I don't except their response
