We started working on Mr***'s camper right awayIt sounds like neither service person successfully explained to him the service processIt isn't possible to keep all the repair parts needed for every situationWe like to have at least days to eet a diagnosis made and parts orderedWhen
we, say bring it in any time, we are assuming that the customer will bring it in with adequate time to make the necessary repairs before a planned tripI will ask them to be more clear about that in the future_ I will also ask them to try to show less frustration when a customer presents with more urgency than we would likeWe did have the correct faucet in stock and that repair is finishedThat was very fortunate, as we definitely do not have every faucet for every camper we sellWe have not been able to duplicate the problem with the refrigerator, and are still working on thatThank you for calling this to our attention

However, we did agree that if he took it to a dealership there and they called us to discuss the problem, we would pay for covered repairs. The only issue reported to us within the warranty period was the water heater issue. When he sent us an estimate for items not covered, we offered to look at it and repair it here or refund his purchase price. And we paid the estimate fee charged by the other dealership. At that time, since he was going to have us repair it, we proceeded with the title work. When he brought the camper here on Sept. 28, he had changed his mind and wanted the refund. We cannot refund the taxes and fees, as they have already been paid to the state of WV. He had use of the camper from Aug. 4 — Sept. 28. The warranty was expired and does not include travel expenses. It was [redacted] choice to allow us to make the repair to the camper or accept a refund of his purchase price. He accepted the refund. I regret that Mr. [redacted] is not satisfied with the work we did on his camper. We gave him an estimate before doing the work and he gave his authorization. We did what we told him we would do and believe the job is correct. We replaced all 4 brake assemblies. He was quoted $600 - $650 for the job when...

we called him to notify him that the brakes were cracked. We actually discounted the parts, charging less than our usual markup. And although we had significantly more time in the job, we charged him only the labor we would have charged for the wheel bearing repack. It is not necessary to replace the hubs when replacing brake assemblies. And the brake assembly does not include new hubs, as indicated in the email he sent us showing the prices for which he could have purchased the parts online. Further, ,any parts we replace on this camper would be attached to a part that is 17 years old. It isn't practical or even possible to avoid that.Regarding the functioning of the brakes after he picked up the camper, I wish he had turned around immediately to let us look at it. RV brakes are different from automobile brakes and require `burnishing:' That may explain that issue. We can still look at it if he wants to make an appointment to return with it.Again, I regret that Mr. [redacted] is not satisfied.
