Alan's Amish Outlet

Review: Purchased an Amish-built shed from Alan's Amish Outlet. Obtained building permit from [redacted] County, Md. The shed was not built to [redacted] County code. Owner of Alan's Amish Outlet and his builder refuse to pay for materials and labor to bring this shed into compliance with [redacted] County code. They are holding me responsible for those costs. Basically I purchased a product that I cannot use unless I pay more money that's above and beyond the original sale price that I have already paid in full. Several agreements were reached to resolve this issue but all failed to happen. I am very disappointed and upset with my purchase and with the way Alan's Amish Outlet and his builder have handled this. This all comes after the fact that the shed was delivered 5 weeks late and was told that upon delivery the shed would be ready for use in 2 days. Shed was ordered with on july 9, 2013 with a deposit of 1/3 the total amount of the sale. Shed was delivered on october 21 2013. Today is december 3 2013 and the shed is still not ready for [redacted] County inspection. I have already paid out an additional $400 for gravel and a skid steer machine prior to the delivery of the shed even though the sales receipt clearly says that gravel and millings are included. Now they want $675 more to bring the shed into compliance. I sought out Amish quality and received mediocre quality with very poor customer service and satisfaction.Desired Settlement: I believe I deserve a refund of $1500 to cover the cost of the $400 paid out on the gravel and the skid steer machine plus $1100 to cover the cost of material and labor for another contractor to bring this shed into compliance with county code. I do not want anyone from Alan's Amish Outlet or his builder returning to my property.
