Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because I never signed a service contract with Alarmco in We only signed one contract and that was in May, 2001, when the system was installed in our new home that we had recently builtAgain, I must reiterate: Alarmco did not install any system in our home in The entire system was installed in May, After receiving the business response to the Revdex.com, I read the contract that they sent via email and saw my signature at the bottom The computer copy of the contract was dated May 26, 2009, and stated that Alarmco had installed a system on May 22, This is patently untrue In addition, I noticed something very suspicious and possibly revealing on the copy of the contract sent to my computer
After receiving the business response to the Revdex.com, I read the contract and saw my signature at the bottom The computer copy of the contract was dated May 26, The top of the contract was in blue ink and my signature was black, not in blue in, It is possible that Alarmco copied my signature from the contract.Sincerely,*** ***

In response to *** *** continuing efforts to avoid paying her bill as agreed in her signed contract, we would like to add the following factsIt is typically not Alarmco's practice to participate in these types of negative responses but given the nature of the tone being used and the accusations we feel it deserves a credible response
The alarm system was installed as *** stated, in May In an audit review of our customer contracts, we discovered that we did not have a current contract for her residenceIt is unclear if there was an original contract from 2001; possibly it got misplacedThis contract not only has terms of length but is also used for liability purposes as wellThis is standard practice in the industry and is similar to the mobile phone industry as well In she was given a contract to sign and did soWe would be more than happy to have her signature professionally evaluated if it becomes necessaryThe visit in was for a requested service call to check a motion detector issue; the issue was resolved at that time
There was nothing signed at that time for anything installed since it was just a routine service call, as stated by *** the system was installed in May 2001, which we agreeAs for the statement of a fraudulent act and information found on the internet, we would have to say that we have successfully serviced thousands of customers without incidentAlarmco has been in business for over years and in our own internet searches, as suggested by Judith, we found less than a handful of complaints and amazingly enough they are similar situations with contracts/payments
We feel this is an extremely low percentage based on the many clients we have servicedUnfortunately, every company comes across individuals that try to smear their name and to cause a distraction to avoid having to pay their billSelling a home does not justify not paying a contract, similar to losing your mobile phone doesn’t relieve of your contractual obligationUnfortunately the Revdex.com doesn’t allow for recorded phone conversations in our responses, we may choose to provide a link in the future for those concerned, in this case it would not be in *** favor considering her claim about a rude callerI think our message was polite and honest but it was *** that caused the issue here by not following through with her contractual obligationWe have offered many of our clients payment options as in this case, who have ran into financial hardshipsOur goal is to always work with our customers for a quick resolution to any issues as we have proven in our year history

This is regarding my complaint #*** against Alarmco My husband had determined that Alarmco was such a disreputable company and that there was no way to negotiate with such a business, that he paid them $for the next three years to finish the contract that they refused to cancel On June 1, we will have sold our home and will no longer receive any service from Alarmco and Alarmco will not be providing us with any serviceThey were paid $because they would not reason or negotiate with us If a thief stole $from my purse or my home, he would go to prison Alarmco, because of their refusal to end a contract, essentially legally robbed us of $ They never reminded us that we had accidentally signed the service contract and they never told us before the contract was automatically renewed

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below

Attached please find the taped phone conversation Sherri had with [redacted] on 4/6/16. I have included the contract they signed with Alarmco in May of 2009. I have also attached the letter sent to Alarmco from Judy. Alarmco Inc has billed out her contract for the remaining 3 years to end the...

contract as per [redacted] request and we sent her another copy of the contract they signed in 2009.
[redacted]SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS REDACTED BY Revdex.com[redacted]

To Whom It May Concern,This letter is to provide Revdex.com with Alarmco, Inc’s stance on the complaint against our company. Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] signed a FIVE year contract (attached) on the 28th of February, 2014 for monitoring service with Alarmco in which all terms are listed very carefully,...

leaving the [redacted] with no doubt about what they were signing. Mrs. Lundberg’s statement of speaking with the owner and being told there was no contract is completely false. We do offer monthtomonth contracts, but Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] chose to sign a five year contract. Mrs. [redacted] called in July of 2015 to state that the home had been sold and they needed to discontinue service. At this time, it was explained to Mrs. [redacted] that the terms of release from the contract were to buy out the contract. Alarmco also allows the new home owner to take over the contract, releasing the previous owner. Mrs. [redacted] became very belligerent and unworkable upon hearing this. Mr. [redacted] then called back to see if there was an option to continue service in Arizona. He was told that he could have a new system installed by a local company, they could connect the system to our Central Station here in Boise, and they would continue to pay their usual monthly monitoring fee to Alarmco. They were even given three names of local companies to choose from. Mr. [redacted] stated that he would be in contact with Alarmco when the new system was installed at his new home in Arizona. That was the last Alarmco heard from the Lundbergs, until Mrs. [redacted] called on September 1, 2015. She yelled at the receptionist and demanded that we “fix this immediately”. She stated that she had received a bill for her monthly monitoring, as they are sent out on the 20th of every month. When Accounting returned her phone call, very confused as to why she was angry as this had already been sorted out, she was extremely belligerent and impossible to speak with once again. Alarmco feels that we have gone above and beyond to meet the needs of this customer. We offered to monitor her outofstate home, which is not something we usually offer. As per company standard, the customer has stated they would not pay, and their account is now in the collection status. If the customer fails to pay upon collection notification, a claim will be filed with the State of Idaho in Small Claims. Just like any other service (cell phone, internet, etc.) we require a contract, and we do uphold that contract, just like any other company. If there are any questions regarding this matter, please refer all communications to [redacted] in Accounting.Thank you,Alarmco Management
