Alaska Village Electric Cooperation Reviews (5)

Mr [redacted] has been told on several occasions - and we responded to a previous Revdex.com inquiry regarding his account alreadyThe bill to his home is based on the usage he was using at his account during that timeI am unsure of what is outlined in the complaint above (as the resolution is talking about his outstanding balance)At this time there is no evidence that any adjustment should be made to his billHe has been informed of this and responded very angrily to a customer service agentHe is aware of the balance due, the past due balance and no adjustment will be made since his bills were rendered from actual reads at his homeIf Mr [redacted] is interested in setting up a payment agreement he should contact the officeThis is the second claim for the same issueSee attached from prior claim

Mr*** contacted our office on Jan 17th asking questions about a large bill he was sentThe CSR talked to the Member to determine if there was anything different running in the houseHe was instructed to perform a breaker test, to see if he could ID what may be using so much more kWhHe
instructed the CSR that his sister had done something to the breaker box and it is all messed upThe CSR instructed him to contact an electrician to review and make any needed repairs to his breaker boxMr*** called back later that day(1/17/17) stating that he had his uncle help him with a breaker test and he turned off his stove (which we was using for heat)He stated that he no longer had heat - since that is what he was using for his heat sourceHe thought that he and his uncle may have 'messed up' his breaker while performing the breaker testHe was again instructed to contact an electricianOn 1/20/Mr*** contact our office and stated that we should adjust the amount owed on his accountHe was told that we would not do that, since the reading where verified on his account and it was billed correctly for the usage at his service. Mr*** stated that "you said something about a power serge"The CSR told him that no nothing was stated about a power serge and we have no record of a power serge. Based on the information available it sounds like Mr*** was using his stove to heat his home, which uses considerable kWH and is costlyHe has been billed based on the usage reported on his meter and the rates for his community

instructed the CSR that his sister had done something to the breaker box and it is all messed up. The CSR instructed him to contact an electrician to review and make any needed repairs to his breaker box. Mr. [redacted] called back later that day(1/17/17) stating that he had his uncle help him with a breaker test and he turned off his stove (which we was using for heat). He stated that he no longer had heat - since that is what he was using for his heat source. He thought that he and his uncle may have 'messed up' his breaker while performing the breaker test. He was again instructed to contact an electrician. On 1/20/2017 Mr. [redacted] contact our office and stated that we should adjust the amount owed on his account. He was told that we would not do that, since the reading where verified on his account and it was billed correctly for the usage at his service. Mr. [redacted] stated that "you said something about a power serge". The CSR told him that no nothing was stated about a power serge and we have no record of a power serge. Based on the information available it sounds like Mr. [redacted] was using his stove to heat his home, which uses considerable kWH and is costly. He has been billed based on the usage reported on his meter and the rates for his community.

He is aware of the balance due, the past due balance and no adjustment will be made since his bills were rendered from actual reads at his home.
