I have responded to the complaint last week
I respect one’s right to register a complaint but I also reserve the right to dismiss it ,
The person making the complaint did not give an accurate account of what happened
Just because we could not meet her expectations is hardly a reason to take the steps she did

The complaint is without merit
Mrs*** attempted to assist the coplaintant and we have a letter from the groom that will refute all chargeds brought by this complaintant
Our space here is limited and any referral was an attempt to be helpful to this wedding
party

This response is not accepted because Mrs*** has not made an attempt to contact me or the bride (the two people with the complaint)We are the two people that she was originally working with, now all of a sudden we hear nothing from her or the Albany Civil Rights InstitueInstead they call the groom who had only spoken with them once at that timeHe was told by Mrs*** that she did not understand why a complaint was filed against her, and gave different excuses as to why she treated us the way she didMrs*** then told the groom to go online and put in a good review on herHe gave this review based on the experience he had with her from the one call that had taken placeThis was not based on the way the bride or I felt The groom called on the last day after we had been getting the run arround just to try to get the space booked, he did not expreience what the bride and I didThat was the only communication they had before he was contacted after this complaintIf the bride and the wedding coordinator are the ones that filed the complaint, why would the groom be contacted, when you know that you only had one small conversation with himShe was trying to cover her tracksNo further action is needed because we do not care to work with this organization and definately not with Mrs***We have already posted it to different bridal websites and different social media sources not to work with this organization if you have an event, because the customer service received from Mrs*** is horribleIt might not mean much to Mrs***, but word of mouth goes a long way.
As far as the limited space Mrs*** keeps insisting on, this organization continues to advertise on the website that the garden can seat 100people and the multipurpose room can seat people. How can you continue to advertise this if it is not true based on what Mrs. *** is sayingThe only reason we contacted them in the first place is because of their advertisement on the websiteIt really comes down to the fact that she did not want to work with usWe feel this way because even when we told Mrs*** that we could adjust the guest list to accomadate the number that the space would allow, Mrs*** still continued to give us the run around.
The bride will also be sending a responseWe just want our complaint noted, no further action needs to be takenAt first there were hopes that this issue could be resolved, but at this point we do not care to be contacted by Mrs*** or this organization
This complaint does have merit because it is not right to treat people the way we were treated especially if it is a place of buisness

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I feel the steps that were taken by my wedding coordinator were necessary. If my coordinator and I were shown the same level of professionalism as my fiancé, he would have never reached out to the contact person at the Civil Rights Museum. We did not seek resolution because our expectations couldn't be met, but because we could never get any answers regarding using the facility as a venue.  In addition, there was inconsistent communication and lack of professionalism. As a suggestion it would be helpful to remove advertisement of this facility as a wedding/reception venue as we were referred to seek out other venues and that it wouldn't be ideal for seating and accommodating a wedding party (big or small). This will be my first and last response concerning this matter.  I have located a venue that will be perfect for my day and very professional staff that have been helpful throughout.  I cannot say the same about this facility and pray that the next couple that comes along seeking this facility as a venue will be helped in a professional manner and have a better experience than I did
