Albany Distributing Reviews (%countItem)

I submitted an application at the beginning of december and was charged 59.00. They say on their that they will not charge if the application is denied. I never hear back from Albany regarding application. Not even a confirmation email. I wait about 3 weeks and start attempting to contact support. I call with no answer and they say to leave a message. I open support messages on their website with no response. normally the main support system gives me error messages and will not let me submit written requests. The secondary "live chat" allows me to submit. The charge on my account is not pending. it is confirmed. I have now waited almost 2 months with no contact in any form. I submitted another app, mainly to confirm that it is a scam. I am charged almost immediately with no confirmation email or contact from albany at all. Many websites list albany as a legit supplier, but I have literally no contact received from them at all.

Albany Distributing had been referred to me via my coaching team in connection with an eCommerce business. As Albany's website appeared to be a valid website for a valid company, I completed the "Create Your Dropship Account" and paid $59.00 for the account. The money was withdrawn from my bank account on November 2, 2019. To date I have had no response from Albany in connection with getting an email with instructions for creating a User ID & Password to enter their resale portal. I have made several phone calls to Albany and receive the same information each time, i.e. "we are having an unusual amount of phone calls so your wait time may be longer than usual." I've waited five to ten minutes before the recorded message comes back on and states that I need to leave my name and phone number plus a short message and a representative will call me back as the wait time is longer than anticipated. I've even emailed the company as their "chat" line is always "offline". To date I have received no response. I seriously doubt this is a valid company and Albany apparently loves taking peoples money.

Albany Distributing charged me for services it never delivered. It has been 3 months since I was charged an "application fee" to join their alleged drop shipping program. I never received any communication from Albany Distributing after paying my $59 fee. I never received an account. I never received anything in return for my allegedly "refundable" fee. I have tried to contact Albany Distributing many times via phone and the online methods they offer, and it is impossible to contact them. This "business" is a complete scam.

I paid $59 via their website to sign up for a dropshipping account with them. They were supposed to send me a confirmation email with information to create my account on their website in order to access their service but they never did. I was calling and messaging them for 4 weeks and they never responded to my emails or phone calls. They withdrew the money from my account immediately and I never heard from them.

On August 5, 2019, I signed up for this company dropshipping program to become a reseller of their electronic products and I paid $59 with my credit card via the company website (https://www.***.com/)
I provided also all the necessary information (my company information and federal tax id) requested by the company to join the program.
The company was supposed to send me my login information that I can use to purchase their products.
Till today such information has not been sent to me.
I contacted the company numerous time via the listed on their website and created a support ticket.
The company does not return my calls and their customer service does not respond to any emails.
Consequently, I need my money back and I would like to stop doing business with this company.
Best Regards

I agree with Mike "Scam" I have been calling for 2 months no one answers and no one returns calls. My bank is trying to get my money back.

Complete scam. They will NEVER answer the phone and never return a voicemail call. Will not respond to emails. They charged me $59 for a dropshipper account and I never heard from them again. Company is a complete scam.

Purchased items through Albany distributing never received them I have emailed them and they will not respond back...I call and wait only to be disconnected.

We signed up for their business. ordered merchandise and the order is still on hold as of 18th of Oct its Nov 4th. Should take 1 week or 48 hrs to process. not this long. We also paid 59 dollars to setup and account And the payment for the merchandise was 500 and we have not seen any product yet in our warehouse.

This company took money from my account - twice! - and provided me with nothing in exchange. They've completely ghosted me when I've reached out on several occasions and it's absolutely ridiculous.

At 7:44 pm at night (eastern time) the customer created a membership, and then again at 7:46 pm (2 minutes later) he created a second membership. Customer has access to the accounts he created. The user ID is the customer's email address, and the password is "***" and he can toggle between the two accounts with this ID. IF he intended to sign up as a reseller, what is the reasoning behind requesting a refund? What was the reason for creating 2 separate accounts and then making a refund request? What makes the service a "scam"? There isn't enough information to understand the concern that is warranting a refund request or why 2 accounts had been created.

I paid $59.00 to this website in May, 2018 to be able to locate products to sell, however, I never received confirmation from them that I had paid. I checked my spam folder as well. After I paid on the website, it said I would later receive a username and password to set up my account, but I never received this information. After over a week I sent a request for contact on their website to notify them I had paid and asked when would I be able to set up my username and password. I never received a response. Thereafter I sent another request via their website to ask for my money back since I had not received any services or information to set up my username and password. I still received no response from them.

My only option was to contact my debit card company and ask for a refund or credit back to my card. My debit card company contacted this business about my request and he sent them falsified documents to make it appear I had accessed a datafeed for products on his website which I had not. I was then left to defend myself against a lie and had to send back documents that showed I had tried to contact the owner of this business at least twice along with print outs of these Revdex.com complaints and ratings. I also expressed to my card company that I was willing to testify or swear in court I had not accessed any datafeeds.

I have spent close to $7.00 in mailing back all this paperwork back to my card company which is an expense I have to bear in addition to being out of $59.00 because I didn't do my homework to began with to check out if this was a legitimate business. His lie has just added insult to my injury and I still haven't received a refund from my card company because they sent him another mail asking him to response again. It's going on 3 months now that I am without my funds which I need to try and find a reputable dropshipper or dealer of wholesale products.

I'm not sure how many people are pleased doing business with this operator but he certainly has taken advantage of me and the money I slaved for, for several hours.

On July 8, 2018. I applied on their website to be a distributor and paid $59.00. To date they have not processed my application nor responded to me. I tried to call them about 15 times and each time there is a message on their business line that asks you to hold and then requests you leave your... number. I have never spoken to anyone. I have requested a call back and have never gotten one. I even tried emailing them with no response. I am very disappointed with this company. This is a fraud company. All they seem to want to do is take your money and run with it.

There's nothing further that we can do to assist him in this matter. It's been refunded weeks ago. Refund was initiated on the 8th. If the customer will send us his bank statement, we will circle the refund for him and send it back to him. the refund is definitely on the bank statement.

Albany Distributing Response • Jul 30, 2018

It's obvious the customer is being deceptive. He's making claims that we have not refunded him for the $64.96, which clearly we did back on or around the 8th of July. He was charged but then immediately refunded since the item wasn't available. The $59 charge for the membership is not refundable. Obviously the reseller does have access to the account otherwise he would not have been able to place a sales order for $64.96 or access the data feed.

Filled out application and paid an application fee of $59.00 to become a customer and have access to their wholesale products. Filled out initial application on 05/14/2018 and heard nothing back about login information.

Albany Distributing Response • Jul 24, 2018

Account was approved after sign up in which the customer does have access.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I was on vacation for 2 weeks and I just came home to find out you closed my claim. I have not received any emails from Albany Distributing with my login information. Did you ask them for copies of emails sent to my email address? Did they give you documentation? I have not received one email from this company in regards to my inquiries for login information.
Regards

I placed several orders with them. They do not answer their phones or any emails. They assured the orders would be processed and shipped the same day. No one will answer the phone. The customer service is atrocious. I suspect fraud. After deeper investigation, it appears that this is their pattern and they have nothing but negative reviews with customers. This company needs to be investigated!!! I will contact my credit card company to report the charges as fraudulent!!!

Albany Distributing advertises they will provide dropship service and guarantees the lowest wholesale prices if you pay them $59.00. They will not let you see any pricing until after you pay. After paying the $59.00 I was shocked to discover that the prices I would be paying them for merchandise is near, at or above retail pricing. Upon calling and questioning this, I was told I would have to buy in bulk in order to get lower prices. Their website states there is no minimum purchase required and doesn't state that you will be charged more for items unless you buy in quantity. The representative I spoke to then tried to sell me website services, telling me that would be the only way I could make money with their company as a dropship retailer. I refused this service and asked for a refund. The man told me they don't normally issue refunds and that my payment was considered a deposit. He told me they would make an exception for me and told me they had already closed my account with them but refused to provide me with an email confirmation. Suspecting he wasn't actually going to issue a refund, I told him I would proceed to do a chargeback on the $59.00 fee if I didn't receive the refund at which point he told me to go ahead and file the complaint with my bank and hung up on me. He did however cancel my account on their website immediately. He was very rude. ALSO, IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT THIS COMPANY IS NOT Revdex.com ACCREDITED AND ONLY HAS A RATING OF D+, BUT IS DISPLAYING THE Revdex.com LOGO ALONG WITH AN A+ RATING ON THEIR WEBSITE. It just speaks of how fraudulent they are. I wish I had researched them before I paid them, but I trusted seeing that logo and A+ rating. I have now discovered many other people have had similar issues, and worse with this company.

As per the ***.com website terms and conditions it is clearly stated that wholesale prices are not disclosed until a user is a paid member of the service. This is clearly stated within the FAQs as well as at the bottom of the
sign-up form should the customer decide not to sign up. None of the wholesale prices are more than the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP). An example provided by the customer where the wholesale price is greater than the actual MSRP would be helpful. With regards to the website some users of the service do
not have a platform for selling in which case members are offered a turnkey solution so
that they do not have to spend thousands of
dollars developing a website on their own. Having a website of your own allows for higher profit margins because you are eliminating
the cost 3rd party marketplace selling fees that are imposed (i.e. ***/*** fees). Also, as per website terms and conditions it is clearly stated that the $59 fee is a deposit and is applied once a member has reached at least $500 in combined purchases. Finally, the member was informed the $59 fee is a deposit and while the account can be closed, that does not entitle
the member to a refund of the fee since it is a non-refundable
deposit, which is
clearly on the sign-up page.

I was a distributor with Albany and the experience was nothing but negative. I had trouble with them not shipping the items ,charging it on my credit card, not providing the tracking numbers, etc. When trying to contact them, I could never get through, had to leave messages and they would never get back to me. When I would finally get to talk to someone, it sounded like no one knew what was going on. I would get a different story every time I talked to someone. They cheated me out of over $1,000 which I will never get back. I will not even give them a 1 star. They are rude and ignorant.

This company has scammed me with the product that they claim to sell as a drop shipping on their website. I sign up and yet price order in January with my credit card that was charged by them. Whenever I called, no one would pick my calls or reply to my emails. When I finally spoke with someone, I was told that the order I placed was cancelled because I credit card couldn't be charged. I didn't call my credit card company right away to confirm this.
In February, I placed two more orders, and they would not send a confirmation shipping details. After this order, I had to call my credit card company to find out if there have charged my card, and I was told that they charged my card both in January and February. These people are a complete scam, and I am so ashamed that the fraud department is not doing anything about this company.
They have ripped me off; I am a single mom trying to make a living with doing a legitimate business not much of a good feeling to get ripped off by some group of bad boys.
The below details are my order that was charged but never get delivered, neither do they provide tracking details.
Please help me out.

The customer placed orders, however they were not paid for, therefore we could not ship them. We have informed the customer on several occasions that her credit card was declined and that we were UNABLE to charge her credit card. If the customer is claiming that we charged her $688.74 for orders that we did not ship, we are asking her to provide that shows we charged her, which she will not be able to do as we have not charged her $688.74 or for the various amounts she is claiming in her complaint. Sincerely, AD Helpdesk

My bank informed me that they have no prove on paper after the system cancelled the transaction automatically. However, I have attached a recording voice conversation between me and my bank about this transaction as a prove of charges as I have explain to this complain. I have also attached on my previous reply my bank charges for the amount of $59, which is my current request from Albany, as they did not provide service related to those charges. When I did spoke with someone from Albany term, I was told that my payment was accepted and he was going to call me back and provide me with ta tracking number for this product. However, I didn't heard from him, that was why I have to look further to see deeply into this and all I can see is dishonesty manipulations. I am a person who will never manipulate anyone, either would I accept the same from someone else. Please Albany distributing, I need my sign up charges back to close this case. Thank you

They did not deliver the services to me as outlined on their website. I never received an confirmation email or refund confirmation. I called them twice requesting a refund. I spoke to Gregg twice and he was very rude and ignorant. He just called me back from Las Vegas, their website said they are in NY.
I did not get any emails from them in any form, rude and deceptive treatment. I do not recommend this company.

I signed up for Albany Distribution (AB) wholesale membership program on 10/11/17 paying a $59.00 fee. During the time I signed up, the website stated there is a 30-day money back (refund) guarantee of the fee, if unsatisfied. After looking at the products and prices on their website, I determined this membership would not benefit me and decided to cancel. From 10/11/17 - 10/17/17, I repeatedly attempted to contact AB through calls and/or emails. Due to the unresponsiveness, I contacted my credit card company and was issued a $59.00 credit on my account, pending their investigation. I informed my card company of the refund terms/policies set forth by AB, during the time I signed up.

On 11/15/17, AB was granted a charge back of $59.00. AB changed their policies from a 30-day money back to non-refundable $59.00 of the membership fee. This is shockingly upsetting and I find it very hard to believe a company would go through such lengths to avoid honoring a $59.00 agreement.
