*Big Sigh*...I have recently become aware of a multitude of sites that create online 'business directories', listing companies without their permission and soliciting 'reviews'.

At present, in our modern tech world, anyone anywhere can submit a complaint through far-too-handy electronic portals, and for any reason. That apparently simple but truly revolutionary and fundamental technological transformation is a key part of the problem.

It has become simply too easy for disgruntled clients, many of whom are in the wrong, to cause trouble, at no risk to themselves.

Given the provision of such easy and universally accessible means of doing so. Disgruntled clients can essentially weaponize organizations such as the BBB, Yelp and other sites, which has become a genuine and dangerous problem for small, and all businesses.

Complaints are neither investigated or verified, the business owner is left with an outrageous, exagerated and damaging review, which is most likely false, with no way to resolve it. Every business has at least one online review claiming.."they took all my money and did nothing". That just does not happen in 99.99% of business transactions.
