Albiero Plumbing, Inc. Reviews (4)

Every person provided the highest quality service. Service was right on time. Service providers communicated what they were doing and why. They obviously knew their jobs and took pride in performing them well.

Interesting I had a negative experience and review of this place and it dissappered. Completely unprofessional. Told me they would reposess my house over a 19 dollar bill that I never should have been charged

Review: I contact this plumber and talked to them on the phone what I wanted done. I explained that I am a renter and my mom owns the residence. I asked if the estimate at looking at what I would like done would be free and the lady said yes. I explained that I only wanted the pipes capped that day and that is all that would be paid for. The capping of the pipes was half an hour of labor. There was a charge for a service fee which the lady did not tell me on the phone. I know some plumbers that I called charge a service fee and some don't. The lady tried tell me on the phone when I complained about the bill that they are charging my mom for labor to drive to and from my house, writing up a bill and looking at my problem/work. I told them that they can't do that and they need to fix the bill. They sent another bill, but it is still not fixed. The bill should be $99.76 labor, service fee, and parts + $5.59 tax=$105.35 total. I informed my mom today to pay this amount and send a letter with her check and that I was disputing it with you. I am going to her house today to pick up the check and drop it off at the post office.Desired Settlement: I want my mom's bill fixed to $105.35.

Dear Revdex.com,

In regards to Ms. [redacted]'s complaint for the work she

ordered and we performed for her:

Ms. [redacted] called our office at 1:53 pm on 9-26-14 and

wanted us to come to her mother’s property at [redacted] to cut off and cap 2 water lines and the drain line in the basement for her

kitchen sink in order to install new kitchen cabinets.

Ms. [redacted] was told that we charge a $45.00 service fee

and charge our plumbing rate of $99.00 per hour starting from the time they

leave our shop until the time they return. She said that her mother would be

paying for the project and to just come and do the work. We sent our technician

out to the location on 9/26/14. He documented his time as 2:15 pm, did the work

and returned to our shop at 3:45 pm which came to 1 ½ hours total. This would

make the total job bill out at follows:

1.5 x $99.00 = $148.50

Service fee $45.00

Material

$9.76

Tax

$11.38

Total job $214.64 (adjusted

already)

We did return a section of PVC pipe that Ms. [redacted]

wanted us to leave on site that we had originally billed for but agreed to take

that time off, which was a ½ hour. The original billed amount was

$266.91.

We feel Ms. [redacted] was informed about our service fee

and plumbing rates prior to coming to do the work and we did what she wanted us

to do, which was to come and do the work that her mother would be paying

for.

We pride ourselves on keeping accurate times on our

service tickets and quoting proper plumbing rates and fees to be up front with

our customers and to prevent issues and complaints such as this.

Sincerely!

Diane

Review: On Jan. 16, 2014, I had an appointment set with Albiero Plumbing, Inc. to install a new water heater, fix a leaking kitchen sink and repair our main level toilet. The receptionist advised me that they would be sending a plumber after the noon hour, but that it would be sometime before 2 p.m. as water heater installations take a few hours and the "guys" do not like to start an installation too much later than 2 p.m. in the afternoon. Per this information, I took the afternoon off of work (4 hours) so that I would be home in time for the plumber's arrival. Shortly after 2 p.m., I called Albiero to see when I could expect the plumber. The receptionist said I was the next on the list. Nearly TWO HOURS passed before I received a call from the Albiero receptionist who wondered if it would be an inconvenience if we rescheduled the appointment. I told her that yes it would be an inconvenience because I had taken off of work to have my water heater installed that day. She advised me that the plumber who had the water heater on his truck was running late at a job and would not be able to make it that evening. I told her that at the very minimum I need my broken toilet and leaking toilet fixed as I would be out of town that weekend and would not be able to reschedule until the following week. Shortly after 4 p.m., a plumber finally arrived. He replaced a fill valve in the toilet and repaired the leaking kitchen sink. He was there and gone within 15 minutes time. When I received the bill, I was shocked to see that two hours of labor (@ $99/hour) was charged in addition to a $45 service fee. When I called to question this, the receptionist told me [redacted] would have to call me back. I waited two weeks for my phone call to be returned before finally deciding to call again. When I was finally able to connect with [redacted], he was nothing but rude. He did not apologize once for the service I received (a simple "I am sorry that happened to you” goes a long way!). He informed me that the service charge is to keep the doors open and that the labor charge is from the time the truck leaves the shop until it returns. This baffled me. As someone who formally worked at a plumbing and heating company, I was shocked. Typically the service fee is used to cover the cost of the trip (gas, mileage, etc.), but apparently this is not the case at Albiero. It may also be worth noting that I was told prior to my appointment that the service fee would be waived due to the size of my original job. I guess the cost of their poor scheduling is left with the customer.

I am completely appalled and dissatisfied with the experience I had with this joke of a plumbing company. The next week my husband contacted another company to complete our water heater installation. This company showed up on time and billed us nearly $200 less than what Albiero quoted. I will never call Albiero Plumbing, Inc. again and would advise anyone else considering it to do the same.Desired Settlement: I would like the $45 service fee and 1 hour of labor to be waived

Response:

In response to our customer’s complaint, let us start by

apologizing for any inconvenience we may have caused. Without sounding like we

are making excuses, this winter has not and continues to be not a normal

Wisconsin winter. Therefore, with this years

harsh weather, the challenges of dispatching our service techs has been

difficult. Plumbing is a service that many times is unpredictable as to how

long a job may take. A simple sewer can run into a one full day / 2 man job

which may seriously affect our scheduling.

Every customer is very important to us and we thrive for

a positive experience and outcome. We would have happily addressed any pricing

questions or concerns during the initial call. We have competitive pricing and

have a great reputation. Again, we very sorry for your poor experience and have

revised your invoice to the amount you requested.
