Albion Swords Limited

A couple months ago, I had ordered the Conan Destroyer Sword from this company. They require a $500 deposit for orders. I had researched them through other sites and found no negative reviews, so I just paid the full price which came to approximately $3300.

I was informed by their customer service that this was not necessary, but wanted to do it anyway, to avoid a huge bill when the sword delivered.

After about 12 weeks I decided that at my age, (56) that maybe my priorities should be different, and called and canceled the order.

I was informed by customer service that they would hold the required $500 on account for me if I ever changed my mind. Remember, this $500 deposit is clearly explained before the order is even placed and I was clearly informed that it was non-refundable.

So after canceling the order, I called their customer service and asked when I could expect to see a refund to my bank card of the money, minus the $500. I was told about 4-6 business days.

Sure enough, even after all that time between placing the order and canceling it, the money was credited to my bank card after 5 working days.

Yes I know this is normal procedure for many companies. The difference here, is that this is a very small 4 man company, that hand makes all their swords. Refunding all that money after all that time, must have hurt their bottom line, somewhat.

Yet there were no problems with the refund, and it came within the time stated.

Lastly, I don't just toss around this amount of money haphazardly, I did weeks of research on this company before even placing the order. Did not find one bad review, comment...anything.

I even checked Revdex.com for any accreditation and found nothing good or bad about Albion Swords, so I decided to at least submit my review.

Summary:

1. They explained up front, about the $500 non-refundable deposit.

2. They explained up front that it would take months to craft and finish the product I ordered. (All hand made).

3. Upon the cancellation of my order, they refunded my money, in the time stated with no questions asked.

To me this is the way all businesses, large or small should operate. I would rate this company 10/10 in all areas.
