I have attached our original, signed, contract with Ms. [redacted] showing that we were never contracted to do these repairs. There was a drywall contractor that was supposed to complete the repairs before we came into paint, and [redacted] kicked them off of her project. That being said, when we showed...

up on the first day of work, we unexpectedly has a lot of wall repairs that were never discussed.
Upon that, [redacted] asked us to complete the other peoples work, we happily started repairing and did the best we capable of. After painting, there were a couple of spots that needed a little TLC and we came back and worked on the areas. After that, she did pay the remaining balance. A week or so later we received a call saying she found a couple more spots, [redacted] said that she was more than happy to come out with the guys this time, and [redacted] refused. I have also attached the call logs to show that we did try to reach out to [redacted] on December 4th, we left a voicemail and never received a call back.
In addition to us trying to fix the problem and being denied, [redacted] only paid $360 for repairs in 3 areas, and the complaint is over one of the areas. We are confused on the amount requested and why it has taken this long to try and come to a "settlement". We want to make sure that all of our past and current customers are truly satisfied with our work, and we do strive for excellence. We do want this matter solved and would like to see [redacted] satisfied with us as a company.
Thank you,

When we completed the customers deck, it looked great. A few short months later the customer saw discoloration and made Albrecht Painting aware that there was a problem. At that point, we setup a day and time for [redacted] and our stain rep to meet us at the deck and we took a look. We did find that...

there is a problem with the growth of mold and mildew, at first thinking it was tannins (oils) coming through the surface which is common for new decks. We were all scratching our heads as to why this would happen so quickly, come to find out oil based stains can attract mold and mildew, which we weren't aware of. We attended a stain class in late October where the diversified brands rep from Sherwin Williams came to our office and showed us how we can properly fix the problem, and how to prevent them in the future. Many factors cause this issue, in which, unfortunately, experienced many with this customers deck. Humid conditions, bodies of water near the treated area, and not getting the proper absorption. We are sincerely sorry that this happened to our customer but now that we know how to fix it properly, we are capable and willing to do so. We will approach the situation by applying a stain and sealer remover, neutralize the surface and then follow up with a Water Based semi-transparent stain. We are sorry that we were hard to get a hold of and didn't seem like we had a solution at first, now that we do, we are willing to make this right and correct the problem.Thank you,Albrecht Painting

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

There are mis statements in the response. Specifically, I NEVER kicked anyone off a drywall job, never told company owner that.  While the contract may not state drywall work, the owner made an oral commitment to drywall work.  She made several commitments that were not followed through on - plastic was to be hung over doorways to limit the amount of dust - wasn't done. Workers came without enough drop cloths/tarps to cover newly laid flooring.  Very, very sloppy!  I had specifically mentioned my concern for detail, as I had used Albrecht one other time with less than satisfactory results. I thought every business deserved a second opportunity - my mistake.
One last note, be very cautious of the contract and estimate provided.  Once the work was started, additional charges were incurred - caulking and ceiling paint because the painters would have a difficult time painting ceiling crown molding without touching the ceiling and messing up,the ceiling paint.  Be sure to ask for vent covers to be removed, otherwise, they paint around them  I personally removed them myself while the workers went to lunch.
It is apparent the owner has no desire to correct the problem or provide restitution.  My satisfaction comes with knowing others who research her company on Revdex.com will see this complaint and hopefully take heed.
I would ask the attachments be removed from this complaint as it contains personal information.
Thank you Revdex.com for your time
