Review: The contractor was to install an emergency generator. The process took 6 months and was riddled with customer service problems and the actual installation process. Some of the key points include; failure to obtain permits before the work started, failure to communicate delays, and at one point the contractor demanded $500.00 extra because he miscalculated the job, but then offered to waive that charge in exchange for a favorable review on a specified website.

Ultimately the generator was not properly installed. They used critical parts that had been recalled by the manufacturer a year earlier and left a large plastic cap embedded in the fuel intake line causing the unit to continuously fail. I had to hire another company to fix the problem at a cost of $454.75.

In addition, I cancelled a service contract with a documented value of at least $390.00.

The company has refused to respond to multiple attempts to resolve this.

This is a condensed version of my complaint.

Also, the company claims to be an Revdex.com Accredited Business, but it appears this is not true. (see http://www.albrightgenerators.com)Desired Settlement: I would like a refund check for the amount of $844.75. I understand that this is probably a fraction of what I am truly owed, however this amount reflects the clearly documented loss to me.
