Review: Hi, On July 27, 2015, the city power controlling the automated gate to my parking lot stopped working. As a result, I could not access my parking lot with my pass. My pass is up to date, and all payments are current. This lack of access was a huge inconvenience. Ultimately I was over thirty minutes late getting to work, and I missed a meeting. Alco service was very poor. When the automated gate did not work, I tried to call the company. I placed the call close to 7:40AM, and no one answered. I tried various extensions (managers, maintenance, etc.), and I was not able to connect to a person. When I checked my email for possible alerts from Alco, I did not find anything. They made no attempt to communicate this malfunction. I ultimately resolved the issue by walking to another Alco controlled lot, which had an attendance. I explained the situation to the attendance, and he noted the power outage. He recommended that I park in his lot, and he would not charge me the fee. In addition to receiving poor service, Alco does not have a sufficient plan for emergencies. I recommend that the company notify customers of alternative lots or points of contact. This information is not available. I knew to contact an attendant at another lot only because I once saw another Alco customers take the same action.Desired Settlement: I would like Alco to resolve this matter with better practices and an apology. I recommend that they consider a partial refund of my July payment, as I am considering alternative transportation.

Review: I am holding a reunion at PNC park on Friday. Through Parking Panda, I purchased 3 spaces in an Alco Parking lot to hold a tailgate. When purchasing these tickets, I called and asked if I could use one or 2 of the spaces to tailgate (no car). I understand that in lots that do not have pre-sold tickets, this may not be an option. I was told this was fine. I then read that no tents could obstruct the aisle ways. I called to ask about having a tent in one of the parking places that I purchased. I spoke with the General Manager who was EXTREMELY disrespectful to me, telling me that he has 37,000 people to accommodate and cannot worry about my "little party", and that every space must have a car. I said I purchased these spaces in order to NOT obstruct the aisle ways. He told me if the space is empty, they'll sell it. (Remember, I've already purchased this space AND paid for it...I've paid for a piece of real estate.) He said there are people with season passes that need to use this lot, and there will be people that want these places. My response was if people want them, they should have had the foresight to purchase tickets for them, and if season pass holders wanted them, they should not have listed their tickets on Parking Panda for sale. In summary, I purchased a piece of real estate, paid full price for 3 parking places, and am being told they will be given away to anyone else who wants them if I do not put a car in them, after specifically asking and being told this was okay. It is supposed to rain, and I cannot have a tent, even in my own space, to cover the food. I have 55 people coming to my reunion, and have organized the details of the event myself, and I'm now subjected to a rude and unaccommodating General Manager telling me I cannot utilize what I purchased. The goal of your establishment is to rent real estate. I paid, rented a spot, and should be able to use it how I wish if it's not negatively impacting the neighboring spaces. And I should be treated kindly.Desired Settlement: I'd like to use the spaces I purchased as I wish, as long as I do not negatively impact the neighboring spaces. I realize the process may take some time, and my tailgate will likely be ruined by the time I get a response. So instead, I'd settle for a monetary adjustment.

Review: I parked at the airport garage on 9/2/2013. When I arrived I wanted to park in the "extended lot" at 8 dollars a day. They had the ramp torn up and I was forced to go to the 13 dollar a day "long term" lot. I did not see any signs indicating how to get to the cheaper lot. I figured that a simple explanation would get the lot attendant to reduce the price to the lower rate when I came back on 9/8. This was not successful, as the clerk told me that he has already gone through this problem with people 4 or 5 times! I figured that I would call the ###-###-#### number to the airport on 9/9 at 11:20 AM. That was unsuccessful as well. I was told that the detour signs are clear and I was told that I could have exited the lot immediately and tried again. I find that this is a deceptive practice on their part. They know that most people will just pay the difference without an argument. I realize that there probably were detour signs but I did not see them at 4:30 in the morning. Nor did I have time to drive around hoping to find signs because I had to catch a flight. Like I said before, I'm not the only one to have had this problem.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of 35 dollars. That is the difference between the 91 dollar charge and the 56 dollar charge of the cheaper lot. I would also like it if they would finish their construction as soon as possible so others do not have to deal with this. I would also like this company to be more responsive to complaints in the future.

Response:

We are writing in response to your complaint to the Revdex.com concerning your parking charges from September 8,2013,

First, the work being performed to replace the Extended Term Entry Ramp is being done by the Airport Authority and the detour signage was put in place prior to any work being done,

Both the Airport Authority and [redacted] feel that the detour is well marked and we have enclosed pictures of the signage.

However, due to your missing the posted detour we are issued a check for the $35.00 which is the difference between the two rates.

We want to thank you for your patronage and we’re sorry for any inconvenience caused by the detour.

Review: The parking lot is continually covered in ice or snow during the winter months. I am frustrated that myself, along with hundreds of others, now pay $120/mo only to get out of our cars onto a sheet of ice. This morning several people reported in my office in the [redacted] building that they slipped on their way in due to the poor conditions. As a lease holder I would expect the parking lot to be maintained to higher standards. I don't see what my $120 is going towards other than to pay the employees who sit in the booth to accept payment. This parking lot is atrocious in winter weather and it is a filthy mess, full of garbage, during baseball and football season and after concerts.Desired Settlement: This parking lot should be clean of debris and ice and snow at all times. It is a safety hazard and an inconvenience. Lease holders are paying over $1400/year to park here.
