Like a lot of you, I had to wait a really long time to get my mounts back. About 20 months give or take, but when I finally got them back I was really impressed! Just be patient with him, he does all the work himself. You WILL eventually get your deer back and you won’t be disappointed.

Would not recommend Alcovy taxidermy. Gave Ray two wood duck pairs (with deposit) for mound in 2020 and still have not received anything from him. In addition, I have made multiple attempts to contact him without a call back. Save your time and treasure for a responsible company and person.

This is the 1st time I took a deer to Ray. I shot a 10 pointer in November 2021, and he took the mount that next day. He communicated with me when to expect the mount. He delivered and it was ready to go to my man cave on May 31. The deer mount looks great and I'm very happy with it. He will be getting my business here on out.

My husband and I met Ray several years ago at Buckarama in Perry. We approached him about a boar shoulder mount that my husband wanted to have done for his military squadron at RAFB. This mount would require bleaching the pigs hair and then making it bright red, with a sprayed on black mask. Ray was awesome and gave us a discount because it was for the squadron. We were so pleased with his work we drove the 2 hrs to his shop for 2 different deer my husband killed. Fast forward to about 3 years ago and my husband, myself and a good friend all took nice bucks up to Ray to mount. He gave us a timeline when we paid in full. After the timeline we were given was up we began to reach out and when we eventually got ahold of him he informed us he almost died of Covid. This meant he was very behind. We totally understand. He said give him about 6 months to catch up. During this time, I traveled to Oklahoma and killed a 153in buck that would go in the books for the state if I ever get my official measurements or mount back. We took this buck up to Ray and because we had 3 others up there he said he would bump my new one up to make sure it is done at the same time. We were again given a timeline. It is now 1 year past the timeline on my most recent buck and going on 3 years for the other 3 bucks. We don't get answers to our texts, phone calls or emails. Ray did a great job years ago with the boar and my husband's 2 bucks but no communication is awful and when we were hearing from Ray it was always an excuse and an extension on the deadline. We are to the point I would just like my antlers and a refund. (the cape would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath). We are in the process of seeking legal court action in small claims court with over $1600 dollars given to Ray for these deer and no communication for months.
I HIGHLY reccommend people find someone else. I also am the daughter of a taxidermist in Oklahoma do I was pleased with the quality of work Ray produced with our boar and first 2 bucks. Now however, this is just bad business.
