I just wanted to let you know that I was notified today that I will finally be receiving a refund in the amount of $for my eye glass lenses My insurance company actually got ahold of the lab that made my lenses and they authorized a full refund of my lenses I just don't know why it took months, several phone calls, and E-mails for anyone to do anything This is really all I wanted was just some kind of compensation for all the waiting I had to do to get my glasses Eyeglasses should never take more than a week to two weeks at most to get to the patient Mine took 1/months This has been crazy and I am just glad it's finally over with I will never be going back to Alderwood Optical again though I'm done Thank you [redacted]

To Whom It May Concern; Patient *** *** was seen for a medical office visits on 4/11/and 4/22/Her insurance applied the 4/11/visit to her annual deductible, leaving a patient balance of $ Our office mailed her bills on 4/24/15, 5/12/15, 7/3/15, 9/12/15, 10/31/15, 12/12/15, and 1/29/We also attempted to call the patient to explain her balance times on 7/9/and again on 10/3/and 10/7/Our office staff spoke w/ Ms*** on 12/28/and explained the balance and the patient informed us she understood and would be payingHer insurance company also mails explanations of payment to the patient so it is unclear to us what confusion the patient may have when it comes to her balanceA deductible is a patient’s responsibility and we are not able to write off the charges In addition, the complaint was made to Dr*** *** and he sold the practice in The owner is now Dr*** ***Please remove his name from the complaint Sincerely, *** ***

To Whom It May Concern;   Patient [redacted] was seen for medical office visits on 4/11/2014 and 4/22/2014. For date of service 4/11/14 her insurance applied $95 to her annual deductible (any amount applied to an annual deductible is the patients contractual responsibility.) For 4/22/14...

her insurance paid $77.54 and her balance is for her coinsurance, $13.69. After both insurance explanations of payments were received we sent bills to Ms. [redacted] for her balance, totaling $108.69.   Our office mailed her bills on 4/24/15, 5/12/15, 7/3/15, 9/12/15, 10/31/15, 12/12/15, and 1/29/16. We also attempted to call the patient to explain her balance 4 times on 7/9/15 and again on 10/3/15 and 10/7/15. Our office staff spoke w/ Ms. [redacted] on 12/28/15 and explained the balance and the patient informed us she understood and would be paying. it took 3 months, several phone calls, and E-mails for anyone to do anything.  This is really all I wanted was just some kind of compensation for all the waiting I had to do to get my glasses.  Eyeglasses should never take more than a week to two weeks at most to get to the patient.  Mine took 2 1/2 months.  This has been crazy and I am just glad it's finally over with.   I will never be going back to Alderwood Optical again though.  I'm done.    Thank you.   [redacted]

To Whom It May Concern;The patient that has made the complaint regarding our billing paid an amount of $71.30 for apair of eye glasses and an optomap fundus photograph. He also had a diabetic eye examinationwhich was billed to his medical insurance and they informed us via their explanation of...

paymentthat he is responsible for a $25 co payment on the medical eye exam along with $20.22 for therefraction that was subject to his annual deductible. Our office explained this both in person andover the phone to the patient along with mailing both an itemized statement and the explanationof payment from his insurance company showing the balance due to our office. The complainthe has made against our office is false and we have in no way double billed him or theinsurance company. We are happy to provide the itemized statements for both his eyewear andhis eye exam. We have submitted both claims for the eyewear and exam to his insurance andthey show the patient owes the same amounts that we have billed him.Before the patient was provided any services at our office he has initialed and signed adocument stating:1. Your Medical Insurance covers you for anything that has a medical diagnosis and mayapply towards your deductible. This would include visits for an eye infection, cornealforeign body removal, sudden onset of flashes and floaters, dry eyes and chronic/acuteallergy issues. It also covers progress evaluation to monitor diabetes, cataracts,glaucoma and other recurring conditions.2. I acknowledge that I am responsible for any unpaid balance and authorize my insurancecompany to pay benefits directly to Alderwood Optical.If needed, we can provide a copy of this signed form. They keep sending the same crappy piece of paper that DOES NOT EXPLAIN the charges. Again, they do not respond for 3 years, then they send me to collections. they have horrible billing practices. what they sent  was nowhere near what it should have been. Multiple calls went unasnswered. I had to make all the effort. I will not be paying this bill and if they do not remove it, I will get a lawyer to fight it. they are unprofessional and did the wrong thing. I will not accept it. they have not proved to me I owed the money, they are doing the wrong thing by a landslide, and unless they ever show me proof, I will not pay it. lawyer up. I will be.
