March 4, 2016To whom it may concern,My establishment received a complaint via postal mail dated 2/27/(Complaint ID # [redacted] ) from an individual who I will refer to as "The Patron" for the remainder of this letterI would like to formally respond to his accusations. The Patron claims that none of his fourteen friends in their mid-twenties were asked for ID upon entering this establishmentin fact, The Patron's entire group was asked to present their ID's by two separate bartenders and were extremely disgusted that they were asked to do soIt is not only house policy here that all guests are asked for ID, but also state law.Furthermore, The Patron's party seemed to have been over-served at the establishment they were at prior to walking into Ale Mary's last Saturday nightThe reason they were not getting served as quickly as they would have liked was due to the simple fact that my establishment was mind-numbingly busy and the bartender who had the pleasure of serving The Patron's party had no less than guests clamoring for drinks at any given timeThe bartender in question was also actively trying to slow down The Patron's party's drinking pace, in an attempt to avoid having to cut them off altogether.Instead of acting like rational adults, The Patron's party began screaming expletives at the bartender as well as support staffThis resulted in the party getting cut-off from alcohol serviceThis decision was made at the bartender's discretion and is a decision that fully supportThis kind of behavior is characteristic of young people who have been over-served and by cutting them off, we were protecting ourselves as well as the customerAs an establishment holding a liquor license, it is our responsibility to refuse service to any patron that appears visibly intoxicated. When The Patron's group demanded to speak to the manager, she upheld the bartender's decision to cease alcohol serviceTo appease them, she offered to cover all of his and his friends' tabs, which totaled around $At this point, I would like to point out that if the bartender in question was, in fact, "ignoring"The Patron and his friends, they would not have had such a high tab to be paid for by the establishmentUnfortunately this was not enough for The Patron, and he personally attacked my manager so severely for no less than twenty minutes in the middle of the packed bar that I had to beg her not to resign. In conclusion, I do not believe that The Patron's complaint to the Revdex.com was valid in any wayHe and his entire party were helped to the extent of our power last Saturday nightI personally reviewed our camera footage after learning of this altercation, and fully believe that my bartender was right in ceasing service to The Patron's belligerent and obnoxious party - specifically The Patron himself. Please contact me directly via email at [redacted] .com if you have any other questions regarding this incidentSee that The Patron would like to be contacted by the owner, but the owner was made aware of this situation and does not wish to reach out to The Patron.Cheers,Nikki Z.General Manager
