Review: My complaint in this roofing matter with Aleks Roofing is in my opinion very serious. I gave [redacted] back in November nearly $5,000 to fix a leak on my roof. It took several months to complete, but since it was Winter I never saw the result of that roof. It is the most ugly and horrible job I have ever seen in my life. I live on the South Hill in a very expensive home worth over $600,000. It was covered with white plastic and nailed down around 8 windows and I can see the white ugly plastic from the inside of my house and the outside. In the meantime as I was getting to know [redacted] and his wife they started telling me their problems and called over and over again to get me to pay for their debt to a roofing supply company which is named I believe Custom Homes I think. They convinced me to pay off their $7,000 debt in order for them to clear their debt off. They also promised me a new roof. After many many attempts to get my roof they told me I can not prove that they owe me a roof. They said they will pay me back after they have paid $20,000 back for their house foreclosure. So I requested back, on many occasions my money. They said over and over that after [redacted] gets his operation and after they pay off their other debts they will pay me back. Of course, I know that is not something they plan on doing. I am extremely irritated and upset that they have taken $l2,000 in all and have given me nothing but worry. I do not know what to do? I told them I need to get paid back and that they took my money. They said they just needed to borrow my $7,000, because they needed to get ahead of their own debt to other people. What does their debt have to do with me? They think that this is a loan for them at least that is what they say to me. [redacted]. What do I do as an honest, tax paying American Citizen do now.Desired Settlement: I need to be paid back $l2,000 in all because of the lousy job of repair of $5,000 and the $7,000 that was stolen from me at the end of this horrible situation. I was taken in by their pitiful story. But what does their money woes have to do with me. I am a home owner who was taken for a ride financially and especially emotionally and I can not sleep at all since this has happened to me. I am very upset. I only want my money back so I can get my roof fixed by someone honest.
