My name is *** *** and the business I had issues with was Alessio Heating and Air, INC in Escondido I was told that they would not cover an installation issue and honor a warranty, but they did honor the warranty without any issues at all The tech came out and
repaired the issue with ZERO charge

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
[The business mistates my complaint. I understand that the filter is in a tight spot in the attic. We would not normally expect the business to change our filters. However, in this case, it was the business that installed either the wrong size filter, or installed it incorrectly. The defective installation was not discovered until over a year after the service call, as the filter is located in a difficult to access location in the attic. The flter installed by the business is not secured, allowing air to pass around the filter, defeating the purpose of the filter. It appears that the business installed a 2" thick filter, when it should have installed a 4" thick filter, or did not properly secure the filter. We simply request that the business replace the filter with the correct filter size, or if a 2" thick filter is the correct size, to properly secure the filter so that air doesn't pass around the filter

Review: March 8, 2013 a new Rheem heat pump system was installed by Alessio Heating and Air, INC. I bought the condo in July 2013 and received all documents and warranties from the previous owner. May 5, 2014 the heat pump stopped working. I called Alessio Heating and Air because they had written a 5 year all parts and labor warranty. They claim the warranty does not transfer to the new owner. I do not read that in any of the document given to me, additionally they acted on a warranty concern back in January where my fan was making some noise.Desired Settlement: I would like for Alessio Heating and Air to honor their 5 year Warranty. and repair my heat pump for the agreed terms. Their warranty states "All parts and Labor on above equipment are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and maintenance for a period of 5 years parts and 5 years labor from the date of installation." There is even a warranty will not cover the following: no mention of the warranty does not transfer with the sale of the condo, house, or structure

Review: Improperly installed new air filter for heating system, and refuses to come back and fix it at no charge. The installation did take place over a year ago. However, the installation is in a difficult location to access, which is why we had Alessio do the work, and why the improper installation took time to discover.Desired Settlement: Fix the improperly installed air filter at no charge
