Product and Service Issue
Alex Mechanical provided the following on March 08, 2020
1. Installed 2 compressors (replaced 2, 5 ton Copeland compressors)
2. Replaced refrigerant, filters
3. Supposed to have cleaned the Condenser and Evaporator
Per the agreement: The products and services are supposed to be backed by One year parts and labor warranty
Total Cost paid by us $ 3000.
Both the HVAC units that were worked on, i.e. the products installed and serviced, stopped working on June 29th, 2020. The units will not cool.
We made a call to Alex, he asked to shut down the units and restart them. This helped for few days. Another call was made and he said the same thing. The trick did not work for more than 3 days. I was out of town and the next door renter and my office remained AC less for days. Another call was made on 16th July and he said he will come up in a day or. Next day we tried to contact him multiple times but he would not respond. Now it was nearly 2 weeks without the AC.
We had to hire another company (Arctic Air) locally to fix the problem. They came and worked on the units on July 22nd and returned on July 27 to clean up the remaining mess.
Product_Or_Service: 2 Compressor for HVAC
Refund Full or 75% refund (prorated for remaining 9 months)as the product and services were warrantied for one full year. So not only the contract is violated but also we had to cancel several days of patient appointments (resulting in financial loss) and not to mention the employee had work under difficult condition for several days. We are asking for a refund because the compressor and labor work on the 2 units were warrantied for one full year and Alex Mechanical has failed to keep its promise
