Alex Motorcycle Repair Reviews (3)

We communicated with the buyer, gladly provided photos as they requested and came to an agreement that $900.00 USD would including payment for the motor and shipping only (so $700.00 for the motor itself and $200.00 to cover shipping costs as they requested freight shipping), any parts that were...

included (that were not part of the original listing) were included for free. We told them clearly that the water pump would come in later when the part came through as we went through our inventory and did not fit a fitting part. There was a bit of miscommunication between our team members as the drive bearing cover did not come with the motor but we also told the buyer that we would sent it as well when we found the fitting part. As said in the listing, all our motors are in working condition prior to and after their disassembly and are sold as is. We personally did not have problems with this specific motor during our tests and when the buyer expressed their dissatisfaction, we told them we would gladly and immediately issue a full refund. The buyer did not want a refund; they wanted us to cover repairs costs instead to which we refused but again, stated we will promptly refund their money. They continued to ask for additional money to cover repairs costs. There was a minor dispute as to who would pay for shipping and we then contacted [redacted] to see who would pay. [redacted] told us that we would have to pay for shipping to which we had no problem doing so and encouraged us to not attempt contact anymore. When the buyer opened a return request, we accepted and only sent a message apologizing for any inconveniences the buyer went through and that we will gladly pay for shipping as [redacted] indicated as well as issue their full refund when we have received the motor. We followed through with [redacted]'s return process and provided the buyer a shipping label through [redacted]; according to [redacted]'s return policy, the buyer had a set date in which they had to ship back our motor so once it had arrived, we would issue their full refund right away. The buyer never provided shipping information and we never received back the item. We then called [redacted] one business day after the last day the buyer had and [redacted] reviewed the claim to which they closed as the buyer did not follow suit to [redacted]'s policies. [redacted] again encouraged us to not contact the buyer any further. The buyer then proceeded to continue to send messages about the free parts and we did not attempt contact as we were following [redacted]'s advice twice given. The buyer then opened a claim through PayPal to which we responded to and we contacted PayPal twice as we did not receive an email containing shipping information for each time the buyer claimed to have shipped the item. The first time they reviewed it, the buyer had given the tracking number that we had originally given to them. The second time, PayPal stated that it had been delivered to the wrong address and as such, they will close the case as we did not receive the motor and the buyer will not receive their refund in accordance to PayPal policies. Any free parts that were included were not paid for as such we will not be sending any parts as twice, the buyer opened return requests and did not follow through according to any of [redacted] or PayPal's policies concerning returns. We thank you for your time.
