Alexander Arms Reviews (7)

Very deceptive to would-be customers. I ordered 2 magazines and several boxes of ammo from Alexander Arms on July 4 2017. Was not particularly happy with the $17.50 shipping charge, but justified that with the cost to ship 10 boxes of ammo. The following day, Alexander Arms back-ordered the ammo, and a couple hours later shipped the magazines. No mention of the ammo being unavailable at the time of order, that would have influenced my purchase decision. Instead, they charge the full shipping charge of $17.50 for the 2 magazines (could have mailed for about $4), and back-order the ammo with no delivery date. A month later still no ammo and no updates. In the meantime, I order and quickly receive the same ammo from a different vendor, and at a much lower price. Not a manufacturer issue when there are several other companies that can obtain and ship the same product, yet AA maintains this is "beyond their control". Their "policy" is to charge the full shipping charge with the 1st shipment, so they have burnt me for the entire shipping amount and never delivered the ammo. I have cancelled the remainder of that order and promise to NEVER do business with company again. I hope others will keep this in mind when thinking about buying from this company. They won't tell you if a listed item is in stock when you place your order.

awesome rifle....I ordered a Beowulf 50 cal advanced weapon system..it was exactly what I asked for....it came quicker than I expected. the 2 representatives I spoke with were great...I ordered 1000 rds ....came within a couple of weeks....great people ...great company...great weapon....

thank you,

Have only done business with Alexander Arms twice. In the second case, the order was ONLY because I did not want to pay a 500% mark up on ammunition. In the first order, over eight months for receipt of an upper (company blamed on nonexistant political climate and 'extreme demand') In the second case over three years later, ammo has yet to be received, ordered over three months ago. Again the explination is "extreme demand" I suspect they are a company which simply is unwilling to hire. If you have had this "extreme demand" for over three years, shouldn't you hire enough employees to meet it? I suspect they will not do so, and continue to refuse to allow for ammunition to be produced by any more efficient company as it will force them out of business. It may be time to give up the rifle for a different caliber which is, in fact, supported by the manufacturer and for which ammunition is available. It does not good to have a rifle with no ammo.

+1

I had to wait over half a year for my firearm to arrive. My order was broken up into multiple shipments and one of my boxes of ammo I received was ripped open and all over the shipping box. My last shipment I received wasn't even mine and had to wait even more to get my actual order right after trying to call playing phone tag with customer service. They didn't seem to want to do anything about the mistakes and blamed ups which is not their fault. Will most likely never deal with AA in the future.

Review: Alexander Arms US Army Radford Arsenal [redacted] ###-###-#### Shipping Dept told in ammunition orders would take 8 to 12 weeks to ship, I have been waiting for more that 290 weeks for the first order of three boxes of ammunition they have promised delivery a number of times but it never shows up. I have been waiting for the second order of four boxes for almost 12 weeks. I paid $14,000 for the weapon and can't use without the ammo. There business practices are abysmai. They are the sole manufacturer of ammo. The third order was comprised of accessory items that were out of stock, that order was placed on 7/30/2013.Desired Settlement: Unspecified

Response:

Dear Mr. [redacted]. Your first original order was placed June 14, 2013- at that time you were told that we were very back ordered on ammunition and the time frame for delivery could be lengthy. During this same phone call we offered to ship you one box of cosmetic blemish ammunition which you agreed to. This was shipped to you June 15, 2013. The remainder of this order is in fact still on back order due to delays in our component receipts- specifically the projectile. This will be loaded over the next 2-3 weeks and orders will be shipped by the chronological date received. The next order you placed was on July 30, 2013- again these items were on back order however you requested the in stock items be shipped to you, muzzle brake kit and Alexander Arms logo wear. Due to the volume of orders and shipments we are working through this did not ship to you until August 20, 2013. The statement that your rifle purchase was $14,000 is quite surprising as our most expensive Beowulf is valued at approximately $1400.00- perhaps this was a typographical error. We have done our very best to satisfy your requests for ammunition as we value all of our customers. The order that was also placed with Little Bear for you has been shipped as well. Sincerely,

Review: I placed an order for a rifle in November 2012. When I placed the order the estimated time to complete my order was 6-8 weeks. Shortly after placing the order I received an email advising that the estimated time for delivery had been changed to 8-12 weeks. It is now 8 months later and my order has not been completed. They have used the excuse that due to unprecedented demand for items that is the reason for delay. I am very familiar with the firearms market and this order was placed before the mad rush to order firearms (because of political reasons). Customer service is pitiful, no updates unless I call them and when I do call they are unable to give me an acceptable answer. My estimated time to receive my rifle has gone from 6-8 weeks to 8-12 weeks and from there to 'no one knows'.Desired Settlement: Some customer service would be nice. Maybe an accurate explanation of when I will receive my order, months later is not acceptable. I initially received an email advising that the estimate was changed to 8-12 weeks and we are at 3 times that now and have not received an update. The company acts as if they could care less about customer service, how can I recommend their product to my customers with customer service this bad?

Response:

Dear Sir,While it is true that your order was placed before the hyper demand began in December after the unfortunate events of that month; we had been experiencing very high demand for this particular product. Given the events and the political climate after December manufacturers throughout the industry found our selves struggling to supply the demand created by this event and the aftermath. Parts of all types quickly became difficult to obtain and we have been forced to wait as patiently as possible.During this time frame we were also inundated with phone calls and emails and we were challenged trying to respond to all customers requests for updates.Having said all of this we have just this week received a delivery of needed components to begin the production on the 17HMR. The parts will need to pass inspection before we can issue a schedule. Orders will be processed by the chronological date the order was received. Please call me when you are available and I will be able to provide a more in depth update on the status of your order by mid week next week.We apologize for the delay you have experienced and understand your frustration.I look forward to hearing from you.Sincerely,[redacted]

Response:

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Several times that I have called I was given estimates of 6-8 weeks, this eventually turned into an unknown estimated delivery date. My customer continues asking me when the rifle will be complete and after telling him several times '6-8 weeks' it has been very frustrating. An honest answer from the beginning would have been preferable. I will contact the business as they requested in their response and hopefully this will be resolved after talking to them. Thank you. Regards,[redacted]
